So during installation, I get an error that it can't access the network file http://www.roblox.com/Setup/roblox.cab and can't continue with the installation. I gather from the forums that this isn't exactly common (as I can't find another instance of it). Do I need a specific port open?
Network issues aside, if it's only four megs, is there any reason that it's not included IN the setup exe? |

| nm... with some googling and using command line tags for for installshield, I managed to download all the necessary cabs manually and install that way. Now it just runs sloooow. |

Dear Antaydos -
What kind of machine do you have - we've tested the Community Construction Room here with a 900Mhz Pentium / 16MB graphics card and we get pretty good speed.
We'll look into the installation issues as well. Thanks!

I have an Athlon XP 64 4400+ with two gigs of DDR1 ram, with a Geforce 7800 GT graphics card. Running on XP with SP2. I'm not ENTIRELY sure that my gfx card drivers are compeltely up to date, but even if they aren't, I don't think this requires much in that department.
It might just be some network lag. Although, even the regular playground is slow for me. Might I suggest at this point a variable mouse speed? |

oh jeez. I recieve minimum lag with a Pentium M machine with 512MB of ram. Shouldn't be a problem with yours. Maybe try formatting the hard drive and do a clean install of Windows.
FYI: I have to agree with you on the mouse part. The whole game works while there is a delay when you move the mouse (prob. about 0.5 secs) |
