Self explanatory. Chromebooks are rising in popularity and I think it would be cool of ROBLOX was compatible with the Chromebooks OS, ChromeOS.

ChromeOS runs on linux.
Linux is a crappy weak-ass OS that would crash if to run roblox.
What makes you think ChromeOS can run roblox?

ROBLOX isn't compatible with linux and ROBLOX doesn't work on wine so how would you be able to tell if linux could run roblox.

Linux is extremely powerful. Ubuntu is the only weak-ass Linux distro.
The hellish expensive Chromebooks are EXTREMELY powerful. |

No, seriously. The Google Chromebook Pixel 2015 has extremely good specs for under a centimeter in length. |

Chromebooks were made for very basic tasks, such as taking notes at work, looking at videos online, browsing the web, looking at email, things like that. They are probably not able to run ROBLOX, as they use (for the most part) mobile CPUs.

Alright, 4 things here.
1) Roblox will never make a linux port, the audience is too small, even with chromebook users its nothing.
2) Chromebooks can, and currently do run roblox just fine. Theres many ways of going about doing it, the best option is to run Wine within ChromeOS, an alternate is making a Chroot and running it through there, or making a windows partition, you can also SSH into another computer and play it from there.
3) This should not be yet another debate about operating systems, theyre all different and all designed for different things, no OS is better than another because its dependent on the users opinion and use of it.
4) Primarily directed at OP, they could port roblox to Chromebooks, but it would require porting to Gentoo Linux, which nobody cares about. Only Debian-based systems would make even a slightly viable target for them to port to, because 70% of regular linux users, use a debian based distribution. Nobody uses gentoo. |

Chromebooks doesn't use all Google Chrome stuff. Chromebooks are compatible with .api, which can run on android devices, and .app, which can run on Windows 10 and Windows 8. |

Theres plenty of things that run outside the browser.
Its based on gentoo linux, it has everything except for the pacman package manager.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFdOAz_ZYVY (i apologize for the slow framerate, screencastify lite only records at 15fps.
Its all there, all you have to do is learn how to manually install programs. |

Chromebooks are mainly used for surfing the Internet, and going on apps from the Chrome App Store.
Besides, a lot(like 90%+) of popular Windows applications aren't even on ChromeOS in the first place, so why would Roblox even bother try. |

Chromebooks, given the minimum power, can easily run ROBLOX. Also, for anyone who still doesn't beleive me... Steam, Mozilla Firefox (oh, the irony), Adobe Photoshop, and other high-tier applications are on Chromebooks. |

I don't see no CCleaner, Malwarebytes, Eclipse, Netbeans, etc. >:(
And if ChromeOS doesn't have a 'Studio' for Java at least, then they ain't gonna get Roblox. |

"Roblox will never make a linux port, the audience is too small"
Considering Microsoft just about pissed off everyone and their mother with Windows 10's backdoors and rootkits, plus it's insistence on P2P torrent networks...
I wouldn't be surprised if ReactOS replaces Windows. Or more likely, Debian Linux.
That's going to change in a couple years.

that doesn't even make sense Java is a programming language and unless you're running Solaris or a different Java-based OS i would be surprised if it comes installed on your OS by default.
throw new Exception("That doesn't make sense.");
Eclipse would legally be a mess to implement anyway.
Why would you need Malwarebytes on it? First off, it's proprietary. Good luck getting anything that is. Second of all, it's a brand god damn new operating system.
The chances of a day 0 virus already developed are so ridiculously low, unless your OS (like ReactOS) is binary-compatible with an existing and popular OS, there is no reason to create an antivirus for it.
"CCleaner" see above, replace viruses with badly programmed programs and clutter

Last time I checked, games like Roblox will not ever run inside a web browser!
It is as simple as that. If you have a Chromebook I would exchanging it for a Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 tablet, laptop or all in one. |

@Darkenus CCcleaner = BleachBit, but its easier to just clean directories from the terminal. Malwarebytes? Let me explain something great about linux, especially Gentoo based distros... *whispers* no viruses. Studio for java? Like an application to code in? Its called Caret, it has 78 different languages to choose from.
@Electronic If you would read the rest of the thread, Chromebooks dont have to run anything in the web browser, they have the capability to run things outside of google chrome and plenty of things already do. |

omg facepalm guys. those are just examples that I HAVE.
good heavens.
i wouldnt even expect you guys to have the same apps as i do.
if you want a better example THAT IS USEFUL, >60% of Roblox Graphics Designers have, is Paint.NET.
and when i am comparing it to something like Eclipse, I'm comparing:
Eclipse -> java RStudio -> RLua
so chromeOS doesn't have Eclipse, then it probably won't/will never have RStudio. |
