| Anyone know the effect of Roosevelt's Pearl Harbor Speech on contemporary audiences? I'm attempting to write a paper and I'd like to discuss the effect that Roosevelt's speech has today. |

I left this post thinking someone would help, but came back to no avail. Alright.
His speech basically lit up the war. It made everyone fired up. It ended up leading to factories and very high morale between everyone. It also caused the US to enter the war, which then the war impacted soldiers going to lands, them dying. He basically used it to fire up the US and started the fight. |

Didn't see the part where it effects today.
If we never entered WW2, things would be drastically different than what we have today, we could have lost and ended up under other countries control.. we could have been a giant nation, outside of everyone else, we could have failed and fell to Japan and others if we waited and not joined. But we'll never know, luckily, because he had that speech and fired us into the war. |
