| AKA the "woe is me" kind of guy who just brings everyone down. It just really bothers me because all they ever do is complain about life. They don't do anything about it but complain. |

I can tell, I know that's all I do and am trying to change. But it isn't easy as easy as it seems.

I could tell that you hated people that make themselves look bad from the first time I sent you a PM. Knowing how positive you are I try not to have such a low attitude around you.
Life is sad.

@granitey
there is a difference between those who actually struggle with depression, and those who are walking pity parties who seek attention |

That explains it pretty well. All I Do is make stories to seek attention from people and get known better, as I am horrible at initiating conversations.

I especially seek attention from people like OP, I hope it's a phase and will die off soon. The 2 other times in life I was obsessed with someone it didn't end too well. At least this time I got by the point where I start attacking them out of jealousy, not sure what happens next.

At this point with all these comments I am half attention seeking from OP, and also want to get the truth out which he may or may not know.

and yes, sadly some people with clinical depression get called attention seekers. attention seeker unfortunately make people view depression with skepticism. basically, attention seekers ruin everything for everyone |

The current state of the world is a disgust. There is absolutely no plausible reason for it to be like this. There is a horrid degree of impoverishment in developing and even in developed countries. According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty. According World Bank's World Development Indicators 2008, in 2005, the wealthiest 20% of the world accounted for 76.6% of total private consumption. The poorest fifth just 1.5%. According to a combination of statistics gathered from Forbes and World Bank, The GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of the 41 Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (567 million people) is less than the wealth of the world’s 7 richest people combined.
In the 2006 United Nations Human Development Report, each one of these facts are true:
Some 1.1 billion people in developing countries have inadequate access to water, and 2.6 billion lack basic sanitation.
Almost two in three people lacking access to clean water survive on less than $2 a day, with one in three living on less than $1 a day.
More than 660 million people without sanitation live on less than $2 a day, and more than 385 million on less than $1 a day.
Access to piped water into the household averages about 85% for the wealthiest 20% of the population, compared with 25% for the poorest 20%.
1.8 billion people who have access to a water source within 1 kilometre, but not in their house or yard, consume around 20 litres per day
In the United Kingdom the average person uses more than 50 litres of water a day flushing toilets (where average daily water usage is about 150 liters a day. The highest average water use in the world is in the US, at 600 liters day.)
The loss of 443 million school days each year from water-related illness.
Close to half of all people in developing countries suffering at any given time from a health problem caused by water and sanitation deficits.
Millions of women spending several hours a day collecting water.
And, it gets worse.
According to Ibid, it's just getting worse. Direct quote:
An analysis of long-term trends shows the distance between the richest and poorest countries was about:
3 to 1 in 1820 11 to 1 in 1913 35 to 1 in 1950 44 to 1 in 1973 72 to 1 in 1992
Another interesting report (you should read it) by the UN in 1998 (The state of human development) suggested this: Consider the global priorities in spending in 1998
Global Priority; the number is # spent in US billions. Cosmetics in the United States 8 Ice cream in Europe 11 Perfumes in Europe and the United States 12 Pet foods in Europe and the United States 17 Business entertainment in Japan 35 Military spending in the world 780
And compare that to what was estimated as additional costs to achieve universal access to basic social services in all developing countries:
Global Priority and # spent in US billions Basic education for all 6 Water and sanitation fo Basic health and nutrition 13
It's just disgusting.
Then, there is hunger; being so common that for every nine persons, one is on the verge of starvation. In the sub-Saharan region, there is an even worse ratio of 1:4. It's sad you can't go outside without thinking: "Man, there's an 11% chance that person is undernourished." in some areas, 25%. |

I apologize. Accumulation of this data is difficult on a mobile device.
"Water and sanitation fo" should be "Water and sanitation for all, 9 billion" |
