SHIP SYSTEMS BOOTING, PLEASE WAIT WARMLY.
.
..
...
SHIP SYSTEMS BOOTED, WELCOME USER: SIMEON WIDDIS
SHIP RUNNING ON UTOPIA OS
PLEASE ALERT AN ADMINISTRATOR IF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS NOT IN ORDER.

[Your name?: Simeon Widdis]

[Your gender?: Male]

[Your age?: 23]

[What do you look like, and what are you wearing?: I have ruffled black hair, as I never really care much about it, about 4 inches in length. I have bright blue eyes, almost grey, and my skin color is white. I am 5'7 and weigh 124 pounds. I'm wearing a black trench coat, under it I wear varying colors of shirts, often grey (At the start, grey.) and blue jeans. I also wear black sneakers (If they still exist, otherwise whatever would qualify for them in this time.). And finally, fingerless black gloves, simply because I think they look cool.

[Why are you leaving the Earth? I'm leaving because I'm bored of being only in Earth. I understand how complicated it is, and how much knowledge is already here, but I wish to go beyond it and explore much more. I guess my only real reason is, exploration, and curiosity.]

---

Humans are creatures of Dark, this we all know. But, not everyone wears such Dark on their sleeve. Those who do show their Dark so clearly are, then, classified into one of two categories: "evil" or "edgy." Your choice of black everything, your choice to wear a trench coat, your choice to wear fingerless gloves, all these things cause most people who glance in your general direction to put you in that second category. It also causes them to immediately look away before they cringe and recoil back in the disaster of fashion and cavalcade of edge. It's a surprise you're not also wearing a fedora. At some point, you got bored of walking around Earth, and decided to take your dark clothes into the dark of space. The most notable difference between your clothes and space is that space is cool.

And so, here you are. You're sat in the fairly-cramped single-seat cockpit of your newly-bought spaceship. This cockpit is located at the front of the ship. In front of you is the windshield, allowing you to see out into the ship hangar. Also in front of enter stick for controlling your ship. At your feet are two rudder pedals. On your left armrest is the throttle, and on the right armrest are several buttons with different friendly colors. From your VR training, you know that these buttons are meant to operate the holographic computer, as well as actually switching it on.

Although the area is cramped, there's enough room for you to get up and head to the other rooms within the ship. Though, there aren't very many other rooms.

SHIP ROOMS:
[Cockpit]
[Crew Quarters 1/2]*
[Cargo Hold]
[Kitchen/Sitting Area]
[Bathroom]**
*In order to recruit companions onto your ship, you must have enough room for them and yourself in your Crew Quarters. There are two spots open in your Crew Quarters, and you are currently taking up one of them. The Crew Quarters, like the rest of your ship, can be upgraded.
**The Bathroom is very small and uncomfortable. It has a toilet and a shower.

The holographic computer boots itself up, and its screen pops up in front of your windshield, though it isn't opaque and you can still see through to your windshield. Currently, the holographic screen is blue, with white text on it.

WELCOME
PLEASE DO THE FOLLOWING BEFORE TAKING FLIGHT

PLEASE CHOOSE THE COLOR OF YOUR HOLOGRAPHIC COMPUTER SCREEN:
PLEASE CHOOSE THE COLOR OF YOUR SHIP LIGHTS:

He thought for a while on the ship name. He had no ideas, but for some reason hats came to mind. He tried playing with the word for a bit, until he decided.
PLEASE ENTER YOUR SHIP NAME: Hatterix

The holographic screen and keyboard turn black, and the text becomes a much brighter white color. The interior lights of your ship switch to a warm orange color. Soon enough, your ship inclines upwards, the end facing the ceiling. The ceiling opens up, and the windshield tints itself so you aren't blinded by the sun. All you need to do now is push the throttle up and enter space. Or, you could leave now. Stay at home, where it's safe.

He waited for about two seconds. "Well, farewell Earth!"

He went full throttle, completely forgetting about the effects of g-force.

The engines roar, and the ship flies upward. You're pushed into your seat, but this soon ceases to be the case. When your body returns to a normal and comfortable position, you look around and see that you've escaped Earth successfully. You could choose to visit one of the planets in your solar system, or you could bring up your holographic computer to try to find another location of interest to go see.

Be blinked. He had seen an image like this in the training, but he never had seen the real thing. He stared in awe for a few seconds, and then brought up his computer, seeing if there was anything of interest in this galaxy.

(If I may ask this early on, what's the currency and what fuel does the ship use?)

The currency is Credits. Your ship doesn't use fuel, it operates similarly to an EMdrive.

You bring up your holographic computer's search results and narrow it down to your galaxy.

>Earthling Welcome Center
>Earthling Viewing Center
>Earthling Bad-Talking Center
>The Confederacy of Earthlings HQ
>Earthling Hat Shop (NOW SELLING CLASSIC EARTH SONGS)

Your galaxy is a bit boring.

It sighed, not really taking interest in any of it. He did feel like bad talking his own race, but he decided to go onwards to find something more interesting. Perhaps Andromeda or the Phoenix Dwarf galaxy.

All galaxies, besides the one you're currently in, have been renamed, according to the specifications provided by the most powerful alien race present in that galaxy. You also have no idea what these galaxies have been renamed to, as searching them up on the computer provides no useful results. As that's the case, you end up just bringing up several locations that are outside of the Milky Way.

He saw the university of the Second Losmosis Galaxy, logically this meant there was also a first. He now had information that he could search that up for more destinations later. However, he took interest in the Great Space-Tree, and went there.

You select the Great Space-Tree and push the throttle up. A warp bubble forms around your ship, and the Universe rushes past your windshield at a blinding speed. Soon, you slow down, the warp bubble collapses, and the throttle returns to its neutral position. Drifting in space, you spot a piece of ground floating in the middle of nowhere. A great, large oak tree with purple leaves and blue bark grows out of the floating piece of land, and you see several people kneeling around the tree dressed in blue hooded robes.

Getting a feeling he shouldn't really mess with the mysterious blue hooded guys, he kind of just went to the nearest planet and stayed in orbit around it while he checked his remaining resources, such as credits, food, etcetera.

You turn your ship around and fly to a planet that looks yellow and red from the outside. As you fly towards the planet, you see one of the hooded people turn and wave to you, before going back to looking at the tree.

You enter orbit around the planet and leave the cockpit to check on your resources.

He remembered a comic book he had read when he was little. "I guess every great adventure starts with a minimum wage job..." He went to the computer and typed in the burger place he saw before. (Cosmo burger?) He put on a blue t-shirt under his trench once he arrived and went in.

(Que cliche me becoming that bartender that gives every adventurer convenient information.)

You warp off to Cosmos Burger. Upon arrival, you see a piece of ground floating around, much like the ground that the Great Space-Tree was growing out of. However, this particular piece of ground was home to a two-story building and a parking lot for spaceships behind it.

The building itself was one constructed of stone, painted purple, and glass. The windows were large and took up most of the walls. At the bottom floor, you could see people ordering food. There was only one cashier taking orders: a white-skinned human who was dressed like a manager. On the top floor was where everybody was seated, enjoying their food.

Displayed at the top of the building was a neon purple sign reading "Cosmos Burger." Beneath that sign was another smaller neon sign in blue reading "Now Hiring."

All around the building, you saw people. Some human, some not. All of them had a few things in common. Namely, they were all marching around with picket signs and chanting "Say no to Cosmos! We are foes of Cosmos! Say no to Cosmos!"

He floated around, waiting for one of the protestors to make a mention as to why they were protesting. (Weee...)

He started thinking about the guy from before who was waving, did he know him from somewhere? Maybe from VR training? He tried matching body structures to faces to names, though he was never good with names. The body structure also seemed a bit too common, and he got lost in his thoughts as to trying to be specific. One major dampening factor to this was the cloak hiding most of the structure.

He snapped back into reality and watched the protestors as they continued to protest.

The protesters continued on with their chanting and their marching and their carrying of signs. The sign of Cosmos Burger looms above them, the words "NOW HIRING" a sick joke, a joke that proves those protesters were expendable and could be easily replaced.

None of them mention why they're actually protesting. Perhaps you should go and ask them.

He sighed, landing off in a dark corner. He walked up behind the crowd, and asked one of the people in the back. "Why are we protesting exactly..?"

There is no crowd with a clear "back", it's just a ring of people walking around the building.

You approach a dark-skinned human male. He stops his chanting and walks out of the ring for a moment to speak to you. People are still marching and pass him up. This man is wearing a cashier's uniform, with "Cosmos Burger - Cashier" written on it. He has black hair, styled into a neat afro with tight curls.

"We've unionized and are asseverating this odious establishment for its wanton cruelty towards us, its erstwhile hirelings. Do you have a predilection for practical and peaceful demonstration? Perhaps you have an avidity to placards? We have a vast multitude of those," he informs you in an eloquent fashion with pretentious undertones.

"You can't really expect an establishment that's meant for serving burgers to have the best job. To be honest, I'm here to work." He glanced at the ring of people marching around. "Seems like there's no staff, so it might be easy getting a job."

The black man looks at you for a moment, dumbfounded, as though the words "I'm here to work" don't register with him. The look in his eyes tells you his brain is currently trying to process and correlate a willingness for labor with Cosmos Burger.

"You don't want to work here," he tells you, "no service to the corrupted bureaucracy of Cosmos Burger could ever possibly behoove you."

"Hah! What a question!" he says, as though the question answered itself, "they grant us barely enough Credits to buy even the simplest of bagatelles! The most minuscule of trifles! I can barely be financially and economically disposed towards the purchase of pabulum! Also, the air conditioning unit doesn't work very well."
