really nice movie, they didn't completely ruin it
but i understand finn was the comic relief in the film,
but did anyone else sense that he made way to many jokes?
like it felt like they were TRYING to make jokes
and it just didn't feel right in the whole atmosphere.
idk maybe just me, but i loved pretty much everything else. |

| idk if you've realized this but in the prequels they had jokes as well you just didn't notice them as much because you may have not understood them |

I think the jokes were fine. Best parts were the opening joke with the Falcon, The new droid flicking off Finn, and Han solo trying Chewie's weapon.
When you had such a stale prequel series you need more comic relief.
Overall I thought it was pretty good.
Things I disliked were, they didn't include alot about the new female storm trooper with the cape and silver armor, the hype was she was a major theme in it.
Other than that..They could of kept kylo ren's helmet on..he kindof lost his badass faction when he took it off.
I kindof disliked it when they basically had a "death star #3" |

They had better dialog in this episode, than the whole prequel series.
Ja Ja Binks was a failed comic relief in the phantom menance, clone wars barely had any dialog, revenge of the sith lacked dialog too but had good action scenes. |

@district
yeah i agree that was actually good and it flowed well
but i'm talking about some other 1-liners that didn't really flow well with the situation or it just seemed like they tried too hard on some jokes.
@anarchy
yes i did understand, but they sorta flowed well with the situation cause the actors didn't start using a completely different kind of high or low pitched voice to tell the joke, or a very sarcastic voice, they used their regular voice.
idk man, it just felt a bit overly-comedic to me. |

@Awesome Completely agree with what you said, but I think they made Rey slash Kylo's face on purpose so he would have that really cool scar remain on his face, and in consequence, him not looking dorky anymore.
Really smart.

wayyy too many jokes. kinda a turn off for me. it would have been much better without all the unneeded comedy.

ya kevin they could have kept his helmet on until that one scene
in other news the one thing i dislike is the ending fight with kylo vs finn. finn gets slashed up the back and apparently lives? i could have sworn there were jedi being killed in ep. 3 like that but idk |

@Awesome
Yea, I completely get where you are coming from and I agree in most cases, but I'm mainly talking about one liners.
Now memory doesn't serve me perfect since i saw this movie like last week or 2 weeks ago, but it just felt awkward having him say a few too many jokes or that they tried too hard to make a joke for a situation where it clearly didn't need a joke. |

I didn't like Rey, plain and simple. She seems too much like a Mary Sue, and it doesn't help that the female CEO of the new Lucasfilms or whoever she is and what her position is said that Star Wars never had any strong female leads or characters, so she was going to create Rey to fix that.

@district
That's something I noticed too!
Now ofcourse this is set in an advanced age, but from a modern-day perspective
He basically just got his spinal cord like completely f|_|cked in that scene, how is he still alive by the end of the fight? |

Bet OP is the one guy that likes the prequels a ton. Which I'm fine with the prequels, I like them, but they do fail in comparison to the originals by a long shot.
