You do know you can revert to old versions, right?
Go ahead and do that, then realize the later versions are better and more bug-free. |

Maybe. Minecraft is still growing and Mojang and Microsoft is made Minecraft on the Wii U. Also there is Minecraft: Story Mode that they did with Telltale Games. 4J Studio made Minecraft on the console lot better with 2 big updates this year. 1.9 for the PC is coming out next year. Maybe 1.9 will bring back the golden age. There is still a lot of Minecraft YouTuber who still makes videos and Minecon this year broke a world record. Who know if Minecraft is out of its golden age.

I have old minecraft close to my heart (cause nostalgia) but I do remember old one being pretty buggy and actually bores me more cause there is little to do. I used to built a lot but my creative building days are sort of gone.
So OP, tell me. What do you mean by "charm"? Is it a fancy term for nostalgia? |

He was talking about the charm and nostalgia it had, back in its youth. Sure it wasn't as well refined but it was more fun and less cluttered with an annoying community. It just felt good. |

No, the problem is the community of Minecraft is dead.
All that's left is a bunch of annoying bratty selfish squeakers ruining the game.
The game's enjoyment died a long time ago. |

Has anyone who says the community is bad played on anything other than Mineplex? Or minigame servers in general?
I honestly just play on small servers now and the community is decent at worst, just look in the forums. |

| Now I don't play Minecraft, but it seems that way. The community is filled with squeakers, terrible YouTubers, and griefers. It's a shame because Minecraft really had potential |

You can only play it for so long. But I still catch myself revisiting it to work on redstone with my friends.
Really though its first age has finished and is entering a new one filled with 7 year olds. |

| Almost, but not quite yet. Ever since Jeb took supreme ownership of the game about 3 years ago, he started commercializing Minecraft with merchandise marketing the game. It rapidly dropped out of It's more hidden gem quality. I'm not saying Jeb is bad, I'm just saying that Minecraft has over saturated the gaming industry, making it a very mainstream and recognized game. Everyone knows or at least as a good idea of what the game is. With the addition of MineCon, It's gaining fans rapidly. I'm not saying this isn't a good thing, just saying that Minecraft had a more authentic feel when playing it from 2009 to 2011-ish. Minecraft public servers are token more seriously, with their own websites, including update news, a forum, and fully-fledged micro transactions, that can be used with real money to buy items in-game. Minecraft isn't a bad game, It's amazing. It's just not the small hidden gem it used to be. |

Minecraft was out of its "Golden Age(If it ever even had one...)" a long time ago.
Sorry for those who still play it. |
