1. don't get a fx processor at this time and age seriously they're underpowered compared to intel's offerings this year 2. you really don't need an expensive mobo unless it has features you need 3. go for a 4gb x 2 config instead of an 8gb x 1 config, just in cause the ram goes out 4. why an r7 360 why 5. if you really wanted all those parts, a modular 550w 80+ gold psu really isn't needed 6. why a wireless adapter

"don't get a fx processor at this time and age seriously"
how old are they though
"you really don't need an expensive mobo unless it has features you need"
can you suggest another mobo thats msi
"go for a 4gb x 2 config instead of an 8gb x 1 config, just in cause the ram goes out"
but wouldnt they make both sticks go out also if i ever wanted to upgrade the ram, i could just add in another stick of 8gb ram
"why an r7 360 why"
not a 4k 60 fps gamer nor a 1080p fallout 4 ultra 60 fps gamer
"if you really wanted all those parts, a modular 550w 80+ gold psu really isn't needed"
long term usage + cable management
"why a wireless adapter"
because i prefer wireless dont attempt to convince me to use a wireless cord

" because i prefer wireless dont attempt to convince me to use a wireless cord"
"A WIRELESS CORD"
"A WIRELESS" [SIC SIC SIC SIC SIC SIC SIC] "CORD" [SICSICSICSICSICSICSIC]
sorry onto actual stuff
"not a 4k 60 fps gamer nor a 1080p fallout 4 ultra 60 fps gamer"
a 370 isn't much pricier tbh
"long term usage + cable management"
in that case, get a 650w EVGA G2 if anything
"how old are they though"
2012- the 6330 is the newest one, it was quietly released a week ago. it's not really a worthwile chip at this point anyway. ask AntiJokeCat about the 6300, he had one- he has a 4690K now
"can you suggest another mobo thats msi"
one of the cheapest h81Ms are MSI, but they're white and blue not black and red. they're a bit less reliable as well, but they're still from MSI, so they're not sketchy by any means, just not the quality you'd get from, say, a MSI Z97 Gaming 5
"but wouldnt they make both sticks go out also if i ever wanted to upgrade the ram, i could just add in another stick of 8gb ram"
what does that mean? also, 2x4 is better for troubleshooting- if one ram stick dies you can still hobble along until you have 25 dollars to buy another stick

you are only complaining about the parts i chose instead of suggesting better parts and helping me lower the overall price, you just complain about the parts and how "amd is obsolete and why wireless internet???!!!!"

that wasn't the point
"WIRELESS CORD"
"WIRELESS" MEANS "WITHOUT WIRES"
"CORDS" ARE WIRES
and i gave you legitimate points, maybe read over again |

"AMD's CPUs are obsolete"
but that's a legitimate point bud
their CPUs are old and they aren't coming out of a new one until maybe Q3 of 2016- for the same price as the most expensive (and power consuming) AMD you can get a far more functional i5- it's not an AMD bias, AMD's just behind in the CPU market |

no
you don't seem to get it
intel has the upper hand. AMD's chips are old and their chipsets are dead. intel, for the moment (until Q3-4~ 2016 when the Zen architecture comes out) have the upper hand over AMD because AMD hasn't put out a new chip since 2012- to put that in perspective, that's when the GTX 680 and HD 7970 (R9 280X today) were relevant cards. additionally, intel's offerings focus more on single-core performance, which is what games today need. again, ask antijokecat. he switched from an FX 6300 to an i5 4690K and he loves it. it has nothing to do with brand loyalty. if you buy anything besides aftermarket GPUs from a brand loyalty standpoint, YOU ARE A LOSER. it's not about what you want to play today, it's about what you want to play in the future. an i3 (since your budget is 500$ USD) would be the way to go here, for sure. |

| the r7 360 is amd's answer to the 750 ti and the 750 ti is just better. AMD generally has the upper hand, but definitely not with that one |

CPU: Intel Core i3-4170 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor ($110.99 @ NCIX US) Motherboard: Asus B85M-G R2.0 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($36.98 @ Newegg) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1066 Memory ($36.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.98 @ OutletPC) Video Card: PNY GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Enthusiast Edition Video Card ($103.98 @ Newegg) Case: NZXT Source 210 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($36.99 @ SuperBiiz) Power Supply: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($38.98 @ Newegg) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 OEM (64-bit) ($84.99 @ NCIX US) Total: $499.88 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2015-12-31 11:14 EST-0500
you know all those demands you had?
they're dumb
here's your build.
the i3 4170 is a decent processor for a budget rig- nothing surprising or cool like the pentium g3258 but still a good reliable chip until you upgrade to an i5-4460
the 750 ti is the budget card. no ifs, ands, or "but muh"s.
i have an NZXT source 210, it's a great case and easy to build in
the EVGA 500B is widely agreed upon to be the best budget PSU
there's your dual-slot premium looking RAM for two whopping dollars more than the 1x8 stuff
you don't get better than the WD caviar blue for hard drives and at 500 dollars there's very little room for fitting an SSD in
i'm honestly surprised there's a b85m for the same price as an h81m but hey, that's better for you, right
there you go |
