| I'm wondering if there's a trick to strumming the right chords, and only them. As of now, i'm a beginner, and trying to learn the tabs of Satisfaction, but keep strumming the wrong chords |

Practice.
I realize it's cliche and short, but practice is the best answer. |

| Unless you have more than two hands, you can only strum one chord at a time. If you meant strings, say the A chord in D shape on 5 position, you'd touch the E string with your barring index finger, thus preventing it from ringing because it's not diatonic. |

I'm a good guitarist. But I'm not quite sure what you're asking.
You have trouble with the chords or strumming?

I missed that you were a beginner. Didn't mean to use the big music words.
Simplified: touch the non-chord note strings with the tips of the fingers on chord notes, assuming the root isn't on the sixth string (E). |

| Oh, I'm soooo sorry, Pitch got it right, i meant hitting the right strings, not chords. I have trouble with the strings. |

@Pitch So basically, mute the strings i'm not playing, until i've gotten the muscle memory to not hit the wrong strings? |

| Yes. Keep your left hand straight too; point your fingers toward your face, not the bridge. |

You can't really not hit the string in a chord, if it uses the top and bottom strings.
Like you can do the C and D chord without muting strings (Or the top string if you keep hitting it for the D chord). But with the B chord, there's a string in the middle that you'll have to mute, unless you somehow got amazingly fast reflexes. |

@Champ
In sixth position, B is in an E shape, which makes it really easy to play using strings 4, 5, and 6. 3 too if a power chord isn't what you're going for. |

| Yeah I mean the power chords where you'll have to mute strings. |
