"I need you to script 5 weapons; A Handgun A Rifle A compact Personal Defense Weapon A Missile Launcher and a Railgun.
These are the models I have made so far, I will be creating more models, that will eventually need to be scripted as well.
All the weapons, I hope will be mostly first-person oriented. That is to say, aiming down sights, perhaps a surfaceGUI showing ammo on the gun itself, and features more oriented towards first person gameplay.
The handgun should be simple. I have created a bullet model for it, so perhaps a rechambering animation could be a possibility. It's a .50, so it is quite powerful. I do hope so make a smaller caliber sidearm in the future.
The rifle should also be simple. I created a bullet model for that as well. It's simply a small caliber, 3 round burst rifle with medium level accuracy, should be relatively simple.
The PDW, like the others, is just a basic weapon, with a bullet provided. Lower accuracy than the rifle, slightly less damage at range, but automatic.
The missile launcher is something different. Holds 4 rockets per "clip", and is made to either free-fire with low accuracy, or lock on to aircraft or vehicles. I have made a model of a missile that could be used.
The railgun will be by far the hardest. With another developer who is heading the project, we have developed a system where the railgun can break apart blocks, like concrete or, what we tested, glass shattering, so that should be covered. This weapon will be a monster. It's massive, and I want it to have the power to down light aircraft. (may or may not be OP) It will be a very low mobility weapon, with a small magazine and spare ammo capacity, maybe only fired from crouching or in prone, but it will be devastating. The ability to penetrate people, and maybe even vehicles. It will, however, have to have its trigger held down while it charges up to fire, and have an electromagnet cooldown after each shot.
Another, possible separate ambition for the railgun, is thermal vision. With the release of neon materials, we are much closer to this, but I wish for the railgun to be able to "see" through red-hot blue-cool IR thermal vision. This will be very difficult to do, which is why I listed it separate from the railgun, as its own project.
This is what I wish to accomplish with the 5 guns we have built right now.
Adding to this, I'd love if they were raycast (a team colored neon ray, if possible?), with the shells that I've provided, ejecting. If also possible, reloading and running animations would be great. (Press F to run? 18-20 walkspeed) For the railgun, make that ray large, possibly a different color and brighter with some dynamic lighting effects. No shell ejection because it's a railgun, obviously.
Aiming down weapon sights is another thing I'd love to have, and for now, just a 3rd person ammo GUI, but y'know, make it look good. I can make crosshairs, so that can be covered fine, but leave spaces for a reloading crosshair, a shooting crosshair, and an idle crosshair.

It's big. Now obviously we'll have to do something less fun, because it seems nobody, at least nobody I've met, can reasonably do this.
More delays, hooray. It was an idea, it was a damn good one, but my ideas are too strong.
