Good talk, I thoroughly enjoyed it,
but I have a few questions to you,
How do you suggest we have the elders of this community pass down some of our C&G rituals to the newbags?
If we would do that, we would need some sort of history book or index listing all of our jokes and stuff, because we can't think of things off the top of our head for so long that we still miss a ton of jokes and stuff.
Also,
You forget something, ROBLOX Admins don't give a freaking crap about us anymore, they know we are inebriated dumbasses, for the most part, from our moderation history on C&G and they only cater to the richest around, which in this case would be LMAD. |

Honestly the c&g elders treated newcomers like crap and flamed them for having low post counts. So that should NOT be passed down. In the future, we need to give warm welcomes to new c&gers, or they will end up as rude as you were to them because they think it's normal. |

@Deathrangers
Yes, I've always thought about that and suggested it to other fellow C&Gers, warm welcomes rather than salty ones. I've tried it myself to, and so have others.
Yet at the same time, there has to be just enough edginess surrounding being a oldie in order to make it worth becoming one, so i suggest we keep some of our passive aggressive taunts like the term 'newbag' |

No death
Newbags cannot be given warm welcomes. They must fight for their place here. We don't need weak links. |

"newbag" was THE worst one. Personally I never found it funny, and I cringe when I hear it. You can feel the ego just by reading it. Why do you feel the need to make edginess a requirement to be a veteran to c&g. When someone has been here for a long time you'd expect them to be 'wise' not immature. |

| Why wouldn't they pass down some of the C&Gers to newbs? I'm still thinking of an answer and I'm close. |

@Exalted-
That's one of the main issues with c&g culture. C&G is a COMMUNITY. You earn your place from your accomplishments, experience, and group. Not by seeing who has the dankest memes or #1 troll. |

@Death
no no, it's not a requirement, but if we have a specific level of edginess to it, people would think it would be something cool and something to work to, so they would hang around long enough to become one.
@noel
you misunderstand, i didn't ask why or why not, i would love to pass down our ceremonies and rituals for the future arrivals, i'm just asking how we would come to do it.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. We will be having more talks in the future about a whole assortment of issues.
To address your points:
If we want to pass information down to the new people, it'd be best that we treat them nicely. We should welcome them and teach them. Help them learn from their mistakes. When a new person joins your group or clan, show them how things work. Don't be too exclusive with your group. If somebody is a bit immature (like I once was) you should teach them how to act.
Now C&G is a different animal. I don't think we necessarily need to pass down our dank memes for them to be successful, they should make their own. But this transition from old to new won't be quick. There is a lot of time in between to lead by example before people quit. We should keep this subforum as on topic as possible, avoiding the abundance of off topic posts so frequently seen here. If we are also pleasant with one another and write thoughtful responses longer than one sentence, it will show newcomers that they should act the same way.
As far as ROBLOX admins, we need to sustain ourselves for now. They won't help us until we help ourselves and change for the better. Incidents like 3/14, 7/2, and many others will not help us at all. We need to make this community less volatile and more friendly. If we gain in numbers by welcoming newcomers who are just as friendly as we are we will become a larger group of people. ROBLOX tries to appease its biggest communities. If we become respectable and large enough, they might just listen to a few select ambassadors from this subforum.
I hope I answered your questions to your satisfaction.

There are a few grils that are stronk links, but the rest got to go
As for the rest of the newbags, we shouldn't pamper them and treat them nicely. If they really, for some twisted, misguided reason, want to be in this community, they're gonna have to deal with it.
Newbags should experience the oppressive, bullied feeling so that when the strong ones eventually arise from newbaghood they can flame like any other legend. |

I earned a place in C&G doing it the hard way, which is what you're mentioning DeathRanger...
But it's a hundred times easier to just use a forum bot for post count and then post stupid crap whenever you've got the chance...
C&G is messed up, everyone talks about fixing things, but nothing is ever done...
If you want warmer welcomes to newcomers, then make sure your entire generation of C&Gers agrees with it, and eventually all of the veterans will be gone, and you'll be the veterans. It'd probably take many years. |

No salty welcomes?
Aw come on, I worked my ass off to get the chance to be salty back!
In all seriousness though, yeah, salty welcomes need to stop. I have no idea how I avoided a salty welcome, but it shouldn't be a game of chance if you are hated or not on the forums just by arriving.

I am somewhat of a veteran, and that's what I'm doing right now. 2016 looks to be shaping up to be a good year, with the many things we have going on. We have Battle Network, War Clans of ROBLOX, and Clan Wars FM too look forward to. These things will certainly have a lasting effect on the community, and all three have a huge opportunity to inspire change in the community.

I'm liking what I'm reading, honestly.
Though, newbags shouldn't be pampered (as if they were babies that needed help learning every single thing), as exalted said, but they should learn to gain experience on their own and work for it, earn their position not be given one because they can post dank memes, as others said.
I, and many others, would be happy to be nice to newbags, but we can't be holding their hand the entire way in their journey of the clan world.
they need to learn how to network with people themselves and work for their position in the clan world, as the rest of us have.

Definitely going to cause changes...
It's just, the people of the community aren't likely to change.
I think it's better than it was a couple years ago, so, that's good. But, I've only been checking for a couple weeks.
I hope things get better. We're fortunate to have a forum on ROBLOX. |

I am not advocating for hand-holding here. Just a welcoming community and for those able to maybe take on somebody to show the ropes so that there are newcomers who fully understand things.
