Hi. On ROBLOX, I am known by my in-game-name, which is MrGungHo. Another alias/nickname I have is just "Gung". In the last elections back in October, I stated that I would not be mentioning my rank and divisions because they didn't much change my leadership abilities. This time around, I think I will as they give you the chance to have a more insightful decision when you vote for who you would like to be one of your new Colonels.
I am, at the time of posting, a Major of the infantry with 8 divisions. That means 9/10 of my group slots are filled with RIC groups and if I were to become a High Rank/HR, I would of course get to join the Command Staff group, fulfilling my group loyalty to RIC and consequently making my groups a true reflection of my dedication to RIC.
If you don't already know my divisions, I'll be helpful and make a list here for you. I am in bloxxer corps engineers, medics, airforce, honors, rangers, officer candidate school(as a drill instructor), the department of corrections(prison enforcement division) and military police.

One of the things that I as a valued member in the RIC community truly value is what people's character and personality are like. Some say they can deal with anything that comes their way. They believe they know the rules but do they really? They stand up against favouritism but is that just a two-faced illusion? Who knows. Getting power really goes to some people's heads and a lot of their best qualities fade away in the "glory of the moment". I really cannot sit here and say "Yeah. I would stay the same." Because I wouldn't. I would have more responsibility which various officers and HRs I've asked agree that I can cope with just fine.

Onto some things I've done for the RIC community. As a member of both RIC's police and prison forces, I take care of those annoying people at HQ who's sole aim is to make you angry at them so you slip up and get yelled at. I'm helping to further your career in RIC by hosting drills, trainings and helping out wherever I can. I have large reservoirs of emotion to draw on whenever I desire as I don't get angry, sad or anything else but mildly annoyed at the little things. One if the benefits of this is that when others would just give up, "rage quit" or ask someone else to deal with something, I can draw on my qualities and emotions to give me that extra surge of determination, hope or whatever I may need to complete the task at hand.
[4]
Some of the things I would do as a Colonel would be the obvious standard duties. Hosting events, doing divisional commander duties of whatever division I'd choose to be a divcom of and doing admin duties at our marvellous HQ. I can also host for a multitude of different timezones living where I do(all I'll say is outside the U.S due to ROBLOX's policy of not giving out personal information). Any HRs come to mind when I say the words: "Very rarely ever host"? I don't plan to be like that. I do plan to host, if not more, one event a week. This would not include HQ drills and tryouts as they vary in when they can be held.
[5]
Activity. I am extremely proud that I'm at the RIC HQ/other RIC events 6 hours on a weekday and pretty much all weekend. One sign of my activity is my credits. I currently have 7.2+ million credits at the RIC HQ(Making me the richest if not the richest non-HRs credit-wise!) and I've been in RIC for around about 8 months so far. My time in RIC altogether, however, includes 3 years. Another example my of my activity is that I'm active in the RIC group wall, divisional group walls and in other forms of messaging between RIC members. While on the point of activity, last elections, when I was disqualified at near the last minute because of some issues I had had with ranking up, my activity barely halted. I had a break of about a day to re-prioritise ad assess my situation and while others would have just quit RIC or went inactive, I took it on the chin and decided that I was too loyal to RIC to leave and so I stayed. I regret nothing from that choice, RIC has been and I'm sure will continue to be one of the best experiences of my life.
I remember a lot of now high ranks/officers when they were privates such as newly promoted Colonel Irelydunofistbro. I was, back then, a recruit. I remember saying to a HR that he'd go far and do you know what? He really has and I believe I can too. Congrats COL Irely and GEN UnknownFunction on your new ranks!
[6]
My skill-set and qualities. What a great source of information for you, my comrades, to have. I've already explained to you my activity and loyalty so those two boxes can be ticked off. My determination had grown over the span of time I've been in RIC and the one thing I am determined to become over all else is a member of the RIC Hi-COM. I'm trustworthy enough, that's for sure. Trust is a two-way connection. I would have gotten nowhere near as far as I have in RIC without trust so we can all agree on the majority of the officers/HRs perceive me to be trustworthy. An additional tool I have in my arsenal of skills is that my knowledge and understanding of the RIC rules, code of conduct, regulations and a lot of other things I could care to name is exceptionally exponential. Did you know you can open/close the CP gate button using right click?

The biggest issue I notice every day in RIC is quite bad. It gnaws at my heart like a mouse at cheese. One word. Disobedience. These people. Real people with real lives, not simulated AIs, come on ROBLOX and join RIC. A military group. They then act like RIC is some sort of fan club and you go around calling people "dude" and act rude(rhyme alert). RIC is a realistic military and we have people acting like it's a tea party. This annoys me. They need discipline. I am providing as much of it as possible right now but as a Colonel, however, it would be much more efficient to do so.

I am running for Colonel because RIC really means a lot to me. I'm hard-working and I work that extra bit harder to get recognition because my timezone is 5 hours ahead of the majority of RIC. Think, while most of the HRs would be asleep or at school, I would be up and ready to patrol HQ and to do my duty to RIC. Then, when I have to go, the other HRs could do their duties and we would have near-constant protection and enforcement.
I'm not one of those 100% gung-ho officers (pun unintended, excuse my insolence) that type their words in caps-lock 24/7 as if they are shouting which I find amusing. I just think that if somebody is confused, shouting doesn't help. It gets them more confused as they try to comprehend what your orders are when really you could just lay it out very simply for them and when I do this, I feel good about myself.
Say I was made a Colonel. Humour me on this. I would be happy, ecstatic, overjoyed. But my euphoria would not cloud my mind. I would be focusing on duties both current and new(if I were to become a Colonel, remember). I would, however, have a small celebration, probably on results night.

Message me on roblox, notify me at the RIC HQ or contact me another way that you would like to vote for me and I will add you to a document labelling you as a (potential) voter. Remember that when thecaptain97(commander of RIC) posts the IMPORTANT link to the voting forum on the group shout, follow the instructions he will explain on said forum how to vote. For who you want to vote for Colonel, if you are voting me, put my name in the field for the COL candidate's name. Make sure you meet the voting requirements! If you have said you are voting for me, expect a PM from me depicting how to vote for me. If I can't get to everyone, it will be on both my ROBLOX and RC statuses.
Feel free to keep a link to this forum to remind me if ever needed of my values and ideals I had when this was posted.

Wow Gung,
I have known of Gung for a long time now but never known him as a friend. But recently I have noticed him due to his outstanding fighting skills, leadership and activity. I truly believe he would be a great HR and I would be proud to go into battle with him any day...
Hurrah for the infantry!!! |
