Ok lando: I don't care for the real life people of this. I'm going strictly lore/star wars universe. not earth :C Jar Jar I dont think was ever or ever will be a sith lord.
The Dark and Light Side of force. Now the original makers of the "force" existed from the infinite empire. The "Architects" hey are BELIEVED to make the force anyway, but thats like ancient history.
Eventually the force was given to a large group of people, people disagreed on how to use it. The Jee"Dai and (i forget other name) These 2 groups had the first force war. Called simply; The Force Wars. The Jee'dai Believed that you should not use all the force and should restrain yourself from using it unless attacked or needed to use it. The other side obviously didn't. The jee'dai won and formed the Jedi Order.
Now the Light Side believed that force wields all things, much like a force of nature. They were to use it like you use a shield. Not a sword. They were taught to deny their emotions, to deny themselves and let the force run control them. So they practically denied their selves as humans/whatever race they were. And accept force over all.
The Dark side believed the force was a gift. A gift of power. They wanted to use their emotions with the power of force to make themselves the most powerful they could ever be. So each Sith's purpose was to grow in power and everything else they can. To do whatever makes you more powerful and mercy is weakness.
OLD REPUBLIC IS CANON ACTUALLY BECAUSE THEY REFERRED TO IT MULTIPLE TIMES DURING THE MOVIES. THANK YOU. (AND CLONE WARS SHOW)
The Old republic loosely explained Started from the First Jedi Order. (when Jee'dai turned Jedi) The first conflict of the Jedi were (i think) The Hyperspace wars. Between exiled /rebel Jedis who turned the belief of Sith for their cravings of power went over their teachings. The hyperspace wars was the first major conflict between Republic and Sith. Eventually Republic was led into the Mandalorian Wars which was started by Sith leading the Mandalorians into war (in secret) and forced the Jedi into the war. The problem was the Jedi Order did not want war, but the Jedi inside the order DID. So Jedi went against order of the Jedi Order to fight the bad mandalorians. Mandalorian war lead to the Jedi Civil-War between Sith & Jedi. At the end of it Jedi were almost completely wiped out. and went into hiding. Over time the Jedi council was formed again. |

Anakin technically doesn't die But when a Jedi turns sith, they always say that Jedi who was me, died. Like Kylo Ren said his son died and he is no longer Solo's son.
Anakin died when he turned sith. During the Clone Wars. At the very end when Emperor Palpatine exposes himself. @Seliso The plan on using him more in the future movies. But the reason they didn't in this one was because they wanted you to wonder if he died during crash. @anarchy idk @silisoagain Because Jedi are actually have a defense against surprise attacks. They use the force as a shield around them to block sudden attacks. This also stops people from force-pushing their lightsaber button because that'd be bad. It stops a lot of tiny attacks from happening.
If you are referring to when Anakin was defeated at the end. Jedi don't kill prisoners. So someone unarmed and defeated, Obi-wan would be killing him defenseless.
Also, how would you feel killing a bother to you like that? Someone you've known forever, trained, and fought in war together. idk if obi-wan had it in him |

it would've been better.I mean he basically caught fire and was dying anyways.
:( I guess they need some reason to make sure he doesn't die and that he makes it to a new hope sigh :( |

seliso:
well yes. i agree he coulde stopped a lot of heart-ache in the universe if he finished what he started. but he made the mistake of having emotions ;(
@GIanna
Now General Grievous character is highly under-rated IMO. (because he's hated a lot by some of my peers xd) He was a fierce warrior in his sentient life. Eventually he didn't want to die and loose his ways of warrior. so obviously he put his consciousness and humanly flesh inside a robot. EVIL DOES THE CRAZIEST THINGS YA KNO
So he was already a warrior. But that doesn't make you trained with a saber, and doesn't let you know how to defeat a Jedi. Count Dooku trained him with permission of Darth Sideous. Darth Sideous had no fear of Grievous because Grievous had no force-sensitivity and could not upthrow Sideous. So Dooku trained Grievous how to deflect, how to fight, and how to kill Jedi. |
