It's quite simple really, they're afraid to lose. This the whole reason on why there aren't as many wars nowadays, and even fewer successful ones where people play fair. And to be honest, with the attitude C&G has now, it's not surprising that people are afraid to war. It has nothing to do with ego, with very few clans as an exception. No, it's because of the way we treat losers of war. We end up shaming losers and that's just horrible. We call them weak and trash, and for what? To make us look better? And because of loser shaming, some clans end up dying, members leave, and all of that activity and community is just gone. Put yourself in the leader's perspective. If you knew what would happen to you when you lose, and how the rest of the clan world treats you, would you really want to take that risk and war another clan? If we're to be better, then we have to adopt a much better attitude. Rather than shaming the losers, we should just say "Good game" and leave. Congratulate each other and talk about how fun the war was. Calling the loser trash won't solve anything and just makes things worse. What we need to do is adopt basic sportsmanship. That's it. If we don't, as we're not doing now, everything will just crumble and wars will not happen, nor will they be fun anymore.

Yes. The C&G ruined wars, and therefore, are ruining clans.

Thanks but this has been said millions of times and it's quite simply not the case because even back in the day losing was considered to be a negative thing and everyone wanted to avoid it

Well, yeah, clans have always been very reluctant to losing. I think the bigger problem was all the high-profile wars that showed that one side could weasel out of a war if they were losing.
