Comment: First paragraph is about a story that I think caused my wifi to start turning off.
This is not a Roblox problem but, this problem causes me to disconnect from Roblox games and many other programs that uses internet. I've been having this problem after my laptop got hacked. The hacker was actually talking to me. He created a chatbar on my laptop and was able to control my cursor. At first, he was only closing my roblox tabs and exiting out of the current games I was playing, which was pretty annoying. Later on he became inappropriate and and made me watch inappropriate videos. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that he was able to type too. He typed in a website that's only for adults. Anyways, he stopped doing that. I've tried cleaning and scanning for viruses but, still couldn't get rid of him. A day later he went to my CMD on my laptop and typed in ipconfig /release (Warning: Please do not do this, it's just an example it might ruin your laptop like mines). After that my laptop couldn't connect to the wifi. I went online on my tablet and searched up how to fix ipconfig /release and it told me to use ipconfig /renew. So, I did that and it work. I went back to Roblox and played some games. While I was playing the game on Roblox my wifi randomly turns off and my game crashes. I tried to connect and it says that I can't connect. I've waited for awhile and then I connected again, it started working. I thought it was just a small problem but later on, it started happening every single day. Even until today. I've searched the web for any solutions and found many. I've tried every single one of them and couldn't fix the wifi issue. I've found other websites that talks about this issue but, no one has come with a real solution or a solution that works. So, I'm posting this problem on Roblox hoping to see if anyone on here is able to fix this. |

R.I.P You should just buy a new Laptop, or reset it.

IPConfig /release [AdapterName] is basically changing your IP address. I did this before, it didn't do anything bad, except it killed my FTPS Server. And I think this command didn't break your internet. (FUN FACT! Typing 'ipconfig /?' in CMD echoes alot of crap you don't want.)
And two, THE HACKER CAN TYPE?! What is this? Maybe somesort of a Trojan. Maybe he broke your Wireless adapter drivers.(One time, I updated my sound driver, and it stopped working. Good thing I made a system restore point).
Probly your router is broken.
Sorry I couldn't generate enough solutions, because you kinda didn't exactly list the things we peeps need.

I still have this problem in 2016. Obviously, the problem is not with the router. Because on my desktop computer (which I do not frequently have access to), the WiFi while using ROBLOX works perfectly. No problem. On my HP laptop, sometimes, *ONLY WHEN I PLAY ROBLOX*, the WiFi keeps turning off and on whenever ROBLOX Player is opened. Restarting the computer is not a working solution. I just don't understand, I mean -- the problem is with ROBLOX on HP laptops. So who should fix this? ROBLOX or HP?
Thanks,

| I have two things to say. Take your hard drive out and do a hard reset, there should be a button on it. After that, just reinstall Windows or whatever OS you use. If your problem is still not fixed, try getting enough money for a hard drive or if you have a warranty still on the laptop you can send it with a warranty problem thing. That should fix it. Hope this helps :) |

I see a 99 percent chance that there is absolutely no button to speak of on your hard drive.
That said, your best bet is to wipe and reinstall Windows, preferably using a manufacturer-provided reinstall disc.
Unless you have a plan for getting your drivers back to the way they were, I would not use a Microsoft-provided reinstallation disc. You could screw up everything. |
