An API which accepts posts of mp3 URLs, then reads them. It takes bits of a sound then measures how many noise its producing from them. Then when its done, it returns a JSON table with Integers: Length Position and Noise measure. then you can use it in a for loop and do your stuff....
It'd be cool if an API like this exists, so us scripters could make GUI Sound/music visualizations... |

| the point of MIDI is converting normal music types (MP3/OGG/WAV) to MIDI formats, look it up. |

I highly doubt it. a mp3 file are usally 1mb+ which exceeds the http get limit for http service.

@DrHax, ...I've actually looked that up awhile ago, but really the question is, is there an API for measuring noise from bits of an MP3? |

@legend
with gzip and the request limit this is basically nullified, you can send an average of 8.3 requests per second. together with gzip this isn't an issue. |
