Don't you just hate it when people tell you three specific words in a particular order? I sure do. Do you know those words that I hate in that particular order? If you don't, then you obviously didn't see the title or you're blind as a bat.
Get a life!
That's right, we've all been told to get a life on multiple occasions, whether it's on the internet or even in person. I have a problem with this type of statement.
1. People in fact have a life. They are living and they are breathing. 2. It's their god damn life. Whether you like it or not, if they play video games, watch popcorn, or go out clubbing every night, it is their life. Since when did you become the guru of life and have the brains to command others to get one?
Oh, and another thing. Here's what puts my mind in a quadruple gang bang with fisting. People telling others to get a life ON THE INTERNET. What are you doing that is so different from what I'm doing? Are you stalking me down in hell or what? If you do stalk me, then isn't that also lacking in getting a life?
tl;dr - To tell somebody to get a life on the internet is like a fat guy telling you to lose weight when he's at McDonalds getting a Happy Meal and a big mac with french fries, a Coca-Cola, ketchup, and some mayo for the burgers.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to McDonalds! |

Actually it can be considered a figure of speech. As in when people say "get a life" they do mean to literally start a life, they mean to go do something other than sitting at your computer screen all day. :)
but I support ya |
