Islam is incompatible with the secular values of the United States of America. In Islamic countries, not believing in Allah is a 'Capital offense' which is treated like murdering someone. Also they treat women like second class citizens (like African Americans were treated during segregation.) There are one billion Muslims on the planet and most of them are not bad people but their societies are extremely regressive and if Muslims want to come to America they need to adopt our secular way of life and learn to be more moderate.

Muslim Americans are most likely more moderate because they are minorities in the United States and their religion doesn't have much influence on public policy. But Islamic countries with blasphemy laws indoctrinate the Muslim majority to be mistrustful of and violent towards apostates (people who leave Islam for whatever reason). So they are not as docile as you are making them seem. There needs to be an enlightenment in the middle east like the Enlightenment in Europe that ushered in scientific thought and changed the role of the church in society.

I am not saying they are moderate in American politics. I am saying they are religiously moderate compared to Muslims in theocratic regimes where insulting the prophet is punishable by death.

'In Islamic countries, not believing in Allah is a 'Capital offense' which is treated like murdering someone.'
What makes you think this? Religious minorities exist openly in all majority Muslim countries. There are cases where they might be discriminated against but do you not think that happens here vice versa?
I have family that live and work in places like Dubai, Saudi Arabia - they encourage foreginers to work there.
In Iran they have a religious representation, all religions have representatives in Parliament.
And these are the hardline Islamist countries. |

My point is that Islamic theocracies are openly hostile towards nonbelievers. I don't want to live in a country where this sentiment is tolerated in the name of religious freedom.

Your statement is unfounded. There are 1.1 billion Muslims. Islamic theocracies with Islam as the state religion are encouraged to discriminate against individuals who engage in haram (forbidden behaviors) which can be as simple as doubting the existence of Allah.

Most of the muslims who come to America change themselves, their religious beliefs weaken, and they believe they are now Americans, and not Muslims anymore. Check out this CNN reporter: Fareed Zakaria. He is a perfect example of what I just told you.

What you are telling us, only happens in Saudi Arabia, in the rest of Arab countries, they accept people from all religions(Oman, Qatar, Kuwait e.t.c.). I agree that the Saudi Arabian law is too harsh, but from what I know, they do not follow the exact Islamic law that is followed by the other Arab countries, which includes not to punish other for not believing in the right god. It says, you should preach with peace, but not force them to convert.

I suggest you search apostasy in Islam and look at the Wikipedia to gain a more informative view of the laws in the middle east for nonbelievers who are accused of committing blasphemy.

It is not a "biased view." You can check the citations to see if they lead to dead ends. Wikipedia has information pertaining to the legislation in Islamic countries that clearly discriminate against nonbelievers.

As someone who is currently living in an Islamic country, I've pretty much seen how Christians and Atheists are treated.
No, they're not beat up in an alleyway nor are they picked on.
The only thing the government did to them is just bar them from entering Mecca and Madina (two holy cities in Islam)

"some truth"
"some"
"SOME"
some truth doesn't beat the entire unpleasant truth that trump is avoiding in order to sway the uneducated masses
