okay fine,
go to the back of your keyboard, get a screw driver and unscrew all the tiny 0.5centi screws.
You should see green computer chips everywhere. When you see a black wire, hold down that chip and slide it. Then you will see 5 keys. ASDEF. The D key is the middle one. There are many wires connecting to it. All you have to do is unplug them. Then pull out the D key. clean the D key. When you do that, get a book and put it on top of the keyboard. Go to the back and place the D key there. Wire it all up. Then you are gonna need to put a little wall over the D key, only 1 centimenter pls. maybe glue it. Then take the black side and move it where it was and screw back everything |

| If it doesn't go up and down. Look at it closely, for any sticky parts left. There should only be... A yellow, two red, three blue wires. Try to push it. |

| Is it a thin keyboard or is it average in thickness? I need to know because it might have scissor-switches. |

@hulk What in the ever living hell are you talking about? He probably has a membrane keyboard. Therefore, it doesn't have any wires. In fact, none of them would have wires, unless they are very old. The keypress is detected with either a PCB or membrane.
As for you, OP, if the keys aren't low-height, just pop one off with a butter knife, clean inside the barrel with a cotton swab and a tiny bit of water, dry it out, then see if it works better. |

| Try clean it with a wet cloth, not too wet. Be careful. |

| @Vineshroom, I took my D key out. I tried watering it and cleaning it, and after that I dried it out. I'm trying to put it back now. What now? |
