Ro-Groups Rant,
Ever since 2013 rolled in, ROBLOX took a turn of 180 degrees. The Ro-Military community was very active, and there were many options to either join, raid, ally, or such. Ever since the idea of making ROBLOX a 99.9% realistic game became an actual plan, every community had it's downfall. In the old times, groups were raided every day, and the leadership within the group tried to create multiple activities for it's members. Nowadays when you join a military group on ROBLOX, you either attend 'Training, patrol, TDM, raid" and that's everyday. The idea of repetitive events isn't the problem, it's the idea of every event having to be the same. Every High Rank nowadays feels that they need to host an event with the same structure. It's like a well-scripted system. In past years, high ranking members attempted to go out of their way to do something fun. Ro-Military groups are currently led by either people that have a busy time, people that just care about a rank that they can lose anytime, people that are just looking for power to sit on it, or people that just simply do not understand the community. Now, before anyone says that "ROBLOX is meant to be fun and not a military game, you must remember that many of us define fun in very different ways. Meanwhile going to "City of ROBLOXia" or "Raise a pet on ROBLOX" or "ROBLOX Beach" to roleplay may be fun for many of you, you must also realize that to many of us, joining a group is our definition of fun. The idea of having multiple groups is to do something that other groups cannot do, but that idea was lost. Every group does the same thing, whether it's on either one of the ROBLOX communities such as Ro-Modern Military, Ro-Colonial Military, Ro-Nations, Ro-Sports, Ro-Star wars, Ro-HALO, or any other community.
The purpose of this message was to encourage someone who actually takes time to read this post, to create a group different than the rest. Who knows, maybe I'll be enlightened and create my own group with a very different idea, but that will take time. If you agree with this post, remember that anyone can create a group, but your dedication and will to make it fun for your members and for yourself, is what will make you triumph. I hope some of you attempt it, maybe you'll help bring some communities back to life, and make ROBLOX a bit more fun for everyone else as well. Be the difference that makes the difference.
If you don't agree, just be respectful about it. Positive and negative criticism is allowed, just like I mentioned, keep it respectful to all. |

True.
I remember back in '11 everything was so honorary as far as groups went, gettings ranks and working up the totem pole meant something..
now it's just a means of passing boredom and even with that goal in mind, it's still arbitrary and redundant.
Good post man, I applaud you. |

Everyone had an objective and they worked for it. That was their version of fun, to reach their goal. Back then, groups competing to be the best one, the most fun, and the one that was very unique.
Nowadays, groups compete to see who can do the same thing better. Who can have more members at events, and who can do more damage, knowing their own members aren't having that much fun. We've even come down to having groups exploit each other, and admin abuse each other. |

Gather some friends and make a the group you desire. I'm sure you're not the only one thinking this. What you need is a complete new system for a group, some thing new, innovative and something that make people keep coming back.
Figure it out and you'll make ROBLOX history. |

Can't say much other than I agree. People only make groups for power or money, instead of making it for fun.

| People don't want to try anything new or different because they're afraid that it won't get off the ground and just end up being a waste of time and energy. That's why every group is doing the same thing. No one wants to try something different when they can just keep using the same events and structure, because it has worked in the past. People are going to get bored of it eventually, and unless someone comes up with a new idea or twist on the idea of ROBLOX military groups, these groups are just going to slowly go inactive and be abandoned. People are already getting bored of this structure, myself included. |

Agreed with WillD57
New players don't enter thinking that they'll invent the next great idea. They look up to the super clans, seeing people who have no imagination, and start to believe that's the way things are supposed to be. That's the key to success. Make a generic clan or else you fail. If the innovative people were so successful, why would all evidence point to the contrary?
So the new players use the old players as role-models, and thus the cycle continues. There will be no stopping this unless clans cease to exist. |

| @OldMan a few years back, and by that I meant 2-3 years ago, the groups on ROBLOX tried to go far and beyond with new events that worked, with new techniques. Not all of them were the most successful nor had the most experienced leaders, but those leaders tried to go far and beyond. Sitting there and doing the same thing over and over again, and making sure people come to events, isn't being an HR. Making a change in the community, and trying to make the group you're in different in a GOOD way, is being a good HR. Eventually hosting the same boring events, will lead people to leave. |

| This was an extremely inspirational read, Marcuses. I've wanted to this for a long time, being a 2008 ROBLOX veteran (account is terminated). I agree with what you say entirely. They're just no fun anymore because it's the same old monotonous routine. Train, patrol, and raid. Back when groups role played and actually had imaginations is where I had the most fun. I was thinking of creating something new, but I'd need to get a team of like minded people together. Would you like to join me? |

| I think the chances of anyone coming up with an idea that will breathe life into this decaying structure for modern military groups are next to none. No new players are going to look at all the most popular clans and think "Hey, I'm gonna do something totally different!" They're gonna do the opposite. They'll think the only way to achieve that kind of success in the clan world is by using the exact same structure, just with a different name, uniform, and fort/F.O.B. |

| @Vult, sure I can help you if you have a structure and we can all pitch in. It'd be nice to show the new generations of ROBLOX, that you CAN be successful by being different. This problem is getting to the point where every community is dying out, and ROBLOX is losing a lot of veterans. |

| @Private154, yeah unfortunately we all allowed for this problem to become larger and spread to all communities, but luckily it's never too late to do everything in your power to fix it. |

| Well, ever since I joined USM, it was a different experience than from most of the other groups I joined, considering we started from nothing and were forced to go through BMT. Which honestly is great, my BMT was roughly four hours, and extremely "life changing" roblox wise. Having to do so many pointless excersises never felt more rewarding then when I earned my Globe and Anchor in the Marine Corps, my instructors were hard on all of us for petty mistakes by the slower ones in our training, But these so called "pointless" excersise are probably what has kept me in USM to this day, getting a strong start that is not easy and is rewarding is the key to maintaining people in a group for years to come. The Immersion and dedication is key. |

Boring groups are dead, I actually remember you in ro-nations. i was minorbacon1/tyrantminor, i believe you owned a Columbia.
but no, groups aren't dead. i own the biggest game of thrones group, we can rally well over 200 people considering most houses can rally 40+ themselves. it's a fun and different community, some known clan people enjoy themselves here like lancast and seviro :P

"The old days" As if you've been alive 80 years to tell the decades
If you don't remember, "raiding" was using a carbine to spawnkill people until they left
C&G is filled with a bunch of children who get butthurt when they lose
That, when coupled with terminals that actually TELL you if you won or not, leads people to lie somehow about how they didn't lose to they can keep integrity
The idea that groups are anarchy is a dead concept. If you don't like that, then quit roblox. It's never coming back, deal with it. The only way you can get something close to as it was, is by making a game.

The Game of Thrones community is really spread out an unorganized. I guess yours is one of the better ones though. |

| The yesterday, can be considered an old day. I never attempted to make it seem like I lived that long. This idea that you have of raiding back then, is actually wrong. Back when I was new to groups, we went and raided until either side gave up, and not spawn camping or when we reached a certain amount of kills, and that's when the "KO" winning system was starting to be implemented. Nowadays, groups spawn-camp, and kill civilians to gain KOs. Anything can come back with a much better structure, but it takes people wanting to do it, and having the will to put some time and thinking into the new idea. Everything that you see now, was created from a simple idea. |

| @Functionized, yeah I remember you, nice seeing you again. I'm glad your group has gotten that big, good job. Your community might or might not be having this issue, considering that it hasn't been up for that long, so that's good for the members of the community. I'd just simply say try and not let your group/community become repetitive on what you guys do, because you'll just become another community that ends up dead. |
