Do you regret your choices so far?
Do you think you could have spent your money on something a little more useful?
Do you feel useless?
Is starbucks already looking to hire you? |

@Kabooze
Nope.
It's not my money if it's free scholarships.
Not at all.
I hate Starbucks. |

@Paracosm
I'm learning foundation art right now, experimenting with different media types. My focused major is Illustration.
You can't have either my skype or my kik, but if you're that interested I can PM you my dA gallery with most of my photography/Photoshop work.
What kind of request are you looking for? |

@itsMio
I just took a Draw100, Design100, and an English123 class for my first quarter. I did still-lives in graphite/sanguine/charcoal, design projects in graphite/gouache/watercolor pencil, and essays in word.
The workload is incredible, especially at my college. As a private institution, I can expect about 30 hours of work per week, more like 40 when I get into my later years.
@Kaboose
Positivity is key.
@VanoxunMorbid
I don't have a crappy life.
I don't have any cupcakes.
I don't care what you think about my post.
And, Vak is better than you.
@HailMario
I don't know you as much as you don't know me, believe me, it's mutual.
@SectionOne
I've done all three, digital least of all until my major comes around. Graphic design was in High school, too. Mostly traditional basics first.
@Resonating
My portfolio for scholarships was good enough to get a substantial amount.
My portfolio for life is still pretty new. I won't work much on that until I get into later classes for my major.
@Paracosm
Sure thing, boss. |

You might have misread or I'm just an idiot but I asked about the workflow :)
I'll be doing Visual Effects, Film etc when out of school so yeah, the workload for that is quite a lot and the amount of fine-tuning you need to do lol.

I can imagine regarding the workload.
Regarding workFLOW, (tired art student), I can spend up to 15-20 hours of actual work (including preparation, ideation, iteration, checking, idealizing, conceptualizing, etc) on any given piece, and I tend to work on one project throughout two-three weeks of time.

I suppose the workflow and workload don't matter if you have a true passion for things.

You can ask personal questions. I don't care.
Go ahead.
I know C&G is pretty off topic. Don't worry, nobody minds. |

@itsMio
If you're going into a private college with foundation art classes that teach you from the ground up, it gets tedious if you're relearning something, using a medium you don't really enjoy, you hate the professor, or you're taking Drawing classes and you hate drawing.
But I love drawing, so I'm a leg up on that.
The workload/flow tends to go by really fast if you're doing something you love.
Unless you're painting in gouache on, say, Bristol.
Then, every single agonizing minute is akin to an hour of CIA-endorsed torture. |

I respect anybody willing to go through that or perhaps worse just to do what they love.
