This forum is about PlaceRebuilder's Reason 2 Die: Awakening I got some demands that PlaceRebuilder will need to consider if he is going to make R2D:A successful.
DEMANDS: These are the stuff that NEEDS to be changed if R2DA is going to be a successful zombie game. 1- The sounds of zombies once dead. I'm being honest, these sounds are future goomba death sounds in Mario. It isn't the least bit scary and does not give any feel to a zombie game. Please change this for the sake of it being a zombie game. Everyone loved those old hunter and tank sounds in R2D, bring those in instead of high pitched "blehs".
2- Music: First, the menu music. Sounds like Mario Tropical Island Adventures or something along those lines. Too happy, too upbeat, you don't see how any part of that intro song makes this a game about an apocalypse. The only music in this game that fits is the loading music (when loading maps for new rounds) Change the music back to the OLD R2D music (V20- I think 36 or something, that was the best)
3- Zombie appearance: Make the clothes a bit more torn up, and maybe some blotches of blood here and there, the zombies look too clean.
4- Lag: This is and easy fix and will most likely be fixed on release of R2D:A.
5- Maps: The Tropical Island or what it's called should be darker and scarier since it was overthrown by zombies that keep coming at you. It's too sunny there and everything seems to be perfectly taken care of. (Green grass, beautiful palm trees, sparkling water) That shouldn't be what it looks like if it is overrun by zombies. The other town map in there is good by the way. But got to get ride of the back mountain, survivors can get on and camp.
6- Logo: When Place first changed the R2D logo, it was just a bad move, and R2DA's logo looks not as good too. There should be rips or something to get the feel of stuff in the game.
7- Do NOT put FFA, MMA, KingCake, Easter Bunny races and those stuff that don't relate to the game. The Halloween was good, the Snowman Boss was good because you actually had to kill something that scared you a little bit, or at least more than a giant piece of pink cake.
8- Do NOT add FAMAS or any overpowered weapon
9- Make zombies stronger, because in R2D it's too easy to kill zombies (not tanks). Zombies in R2D:A should have half or 3/4 of health of a tank in R2D. They're not going to have rock throwing or laser eyes and stuff like that. But they could have hunter super jumps.
This is all I have for now, as the R2D:A Demo develops I might write more forum ideas. |

| The game was never meant to be serious horror and is built around unbalance weapons and very weak zombies |

| I don't mean it to be like Call of Duty zombies are something like that, it's just that The R2D:A Demo right now seems a bit toddler-friendly with all the stuff right now. If you look at R2D at like v20-v30 ish, the music was awesome, the game overall made sense and it was fun with all the maps that actually felt like zombie type maps. |

Most of these are because he is pandering the game to fit a younger demographic (A large majority of Roblox.)
Don't like the music? Roblox has mute now, just go onto Youtube unless you are so lazy and wish to blame the game on something you can control.
Lag? Get a better PC/wifi. I occasionally use a laptop from 08 and it runs decently/no lag. Stop playing on a toaster.
"Make the zombies stronger"
You do realise that since it is based on l4D, the zombies aren't going to be these things that are "strong" It was meant make the player feel like "rambo" mowing down hordes of undead.
Your attempts at trying to make the game look dark and EDGY can easily lead it to getting possibly removed. More realistic blood has been reported/gotten things taken down before. Based on how you think, even if he adds blood, you are obviously going to complain about his style and make a whole new rant thread.
Essentially, you must understand that a game's success partially if not mostly comes from how well it is made to suit the audience. And frankly, he has done a good job at targeting the younger (larger) audience on Roblox with its more "cartoony" approach
Most of your points are only based on opinions that frankly, not a lot of people care about. You focus too much on the aesthetics rather than on gameplay mechanics. The game isn't only made for edgy 11-12 year olds. |

You want zombies to have either 500 or 750 health with super-jumping ability?
I don't even know why I even took this stuff into account..

@Ern
That isn't it, he said he wants the game to have a slightly more retro theme.
He does say he will add darker levels, dark to the extent where you have to use a flashlight attachment. |

@lr2n I know he wants it retro
You might have mistook my "dark" for actual darkness instead of the other meaning that related to "edgy"

I didn't mistake anything..
You said he was trying to make it for a younger audience which was obviously a little mistake, his intention is to make it slightly more retro in comparison to the original R2DA. :P |

@Lr2n Actually, there is some credence to my statement. He has been trying to make everything child friendly.
Have you seen the wiki? It is you who are mistaken, you don't seem to factor in his new set of mind.

@Lr2n. The meaning of "retro" refers to emulating something of the past. The current state of R2DA looks like nothing that can be described as "retro" if you are all referring to an older incarnation of the game.
I've played the 09 original along with the older incarnations, and the current game is far from it. The only "retro" feel to it is the coin drops that look like the things in the Mario franchise.
Otherwise, everything looks very kid friendly. The amount of bright colours and happy looking zombies in the game is enough proof. |

Where does it say in the wiki that he does want to make it child-friendly?
The R2D series is already "kid-friendly". |

| He is borrowing from the past, he does confirm in a very old post that R2DA will have older designs of the current zombies. You can also see the fire is also brought from first literation of R2D. |

" R2D:A Wikia is a Wikia intentionally and principally for kids, "-Taken from the rules.
"Intentionally and principally" There were other comments by Pr and staff since the beginning of that site stating that it would be more for children or something and a lot of complaining.
Look around yourself, I wouldn't stay around there too much due to the amount of cringy behaviour on there. |

Also, this is not coming from my mouth and my mouth only. Place does say that he is aiming for a more retro feel to the game in a video. SWAGER21's video to be specific. Zombies are not more happy looking, I don't suppose the suit and hat (not to mention the fedora) is supposed to be all bright and happy... Not to bring up the fact that most of the time we are in a map called 1930 Kingstreet which consists of a zombie ridden urban looking area (which is rainy and foggy).
Happy looking, I beg to differ. |

"R2DA Wikia"
Again,
"R2DA.. WIKKKKKKIAAAA"
Place is not aiming for a "kid-friendly" game, it is just that his ideas for the game are within the age group of these "kids". You have his intent all wrong. |

"Wikiaaaaa"
I fail to see the point.
Keep in mind that Pr usually if not always shares his thoughts on there. Considering the rules were either written by him or he approved it, it proves something.
You are simply too ignorant to accept other people's viewpoints even if there is evidence.
