I use Overwolf, it's basically like an app store for your computer and one of the apps is the game recorder, it records what's happening on your screen and records your voice, but it doesn't have a facecam though, DID I MENTION THIS IS ALL FREE??!!

| im thinking of getting dxtory soon because it records in two audio channels so it would be very useful for me because my mic pics up a lot of background noise. would make it a whole lot easier to edit the audio when you have in-game and mic audio seperate |

@novipak dxtory is great for that but its a bit lacking in its capture modes. Action! does this also and is better IMO. you could also just record your audio into a seperate .wav file with audacity |

@Faave It's a good alternative to people who don't want to pay money right?

^ That is true, plus HOW MUCH SPACE it takes up. It's not worth it whenever better solutions are out there lol |

i recorded for half an hour and the file was 28gb
there must be some way for me to compress it more
there's a bitrate setting which seems to be good for that but im not sure what exactly it does, or what percentage it should be at |

@novipak I need to establish that most raw footage takes up a boatload of space. I use Dxtory and Action! and they both have this issue. You can lower the quality for a lower file size, but this is what I do: I record everything into my internal hard-drive, and after, I export it to my external hard-drive. I then edit with the files on my external. I don't record to the external because that lowers the quality because the data has to travel further while being recorded. |

| alright, thanks for the info man. i wasnt sure if it was something i could fix with the settings or if i would just have to deal with recording in massive files. i dont have an external drive but i'll be able to manage recording like this for now with just my normal hard drive. hopefully when i render the final video for uploading it wont be so huge haha |

@novipak your videos get compressed when rendered. just delete the footage after you're done rendering your video. |

| I only don't like fraps because it drops your framerate from like 60 FPS to like 20-25 when ur recording |

| That's what I thought at first but just look up "fraps frame rate drop" on google and multiple people have the same issue |
