The dim light of your display strains your flickering eyes, severe, sharp pain courses through your body as you try to move, only thing audible is the clack of your rifle against the floor, the dim light transitions into a hexagonal screen of flashing crimson, critical error.
"ERROR." A voice rings. "ERROR: LEG INOPERABLE."
A) "Manual Override..."
B) "Disengage Ex-Locks, Eject."
C) "Diagnose Issue."

"Assistant," you groan, "Diagnose, and Initiate manual override." "Yes, Pilot." She replies. "Left leg Hydraulic Tube occlusion."
The screen pans across, relieving your eyes. Bending your leg isn't -too- difficult, however is still noticeable. Finally adjusting to the light you check your condition:
55% Battery (5h REM.)
Unstable Armor.
Integrated Mortar Expended.
You stand, the heavy clank of your armor gives you a sense of minor protection, checking your rifles magazine you find a half-empty magazine. Lovely.
A) "Activate Light."
B) Explore.
C) Wait. |

"Activate Light."
Voila, the scene unfolds; nothing. Unless a bland metal room is enthralling.
Curious..

Exploring the room, you spot a doorway with scanner, and notice the floor pattern is an inch off. Disgusting.
Logic dictates you scan your hand, and pass through the door narrowly. Greeting you is a small room with a story to tell; bodies and puddles of swirling blood and oil litter the ripped floor shimmering in spent casings, In your light, dust particles glide across... How long were you out?
A) Examine scene, scavenge.
B) "Scan..."
C) Backtrack. |

As you draw near the scene, various things become apparent; one sided battle between inexperienced crew and unwanted visitors, unfortunately you have to search them for further clues to see the whole picture.
Nothing much except identification papers, worn guns and inferior armor. Few of them were married, maybe you'll give the families condolences. .. Oh, look a key card!
A) Dig deeper.
B) Leave room.
C) Skim Papers.
D) Wait. |

"It's not enough," you think to yourself. "Something is missing..."
Throughout your second, thorough search you find a few peculiar unwoven patches of unarchived insignia; blood vials, and further identification on the crew. On the unwanted visitors, you discover their Begurs Army papers and identification, no wonder people hate paperwork.
But the thing in question are the blood vials, they seem out of place.. Perhaps they're useful for something, maybe cloning? An unorthodox key? Guess time will tell, but to your conclusion that's the only 'compelling' reason for this scuffle, aside from the patchwork.
A) "Scan... (?)"
B) Leave the room, explore something else.
C) Wait.

"Commencing..." She chimes. "...Complete."
"Seven total," she continues. "Four Unidentified Ship Crewmen, three Begurian Rifle Infantrymen.*
Curious, why can't your assistant identify the crew? Perhaps they wiped their file; could they have been attempting AWOL and were caught? Many theories, but one conclusion. After a little more rummaging with the aide of your light, you decid to make your way out into the adjacent room to find nothing, except a single spent casing rolling.. Must've kicked it. Checking around, you come across a hallway...
A) Go left. : B) Go right.

(Was trying to rewrite them, accidentally deleted the file when I was freeing space on my tablet, was hoping nobody would ask.
Essentially, the Begurian Military are a somewhat nomadic faction inhabiting their colonization vessel; in which they're increasingly hard to track unless given coordinates or chance-encountered. I won't spoil the story, but sorry I didn't elaborate on them.) |

(Last one for today.)
"Commencing..." She chimes again. "... Low power pulse received on lower floors, focused."
Focused power source on the lower floor, yer no life aside from you. Good to know your rifle won't be needed, maybe you can send a distress signal if you can route the power to the relay, or perhaps power up and overcharge your coms.
Sending a small wave of sound, your map updates; few obscurities down the left yet a stairwell; right leads you up and to the armory.
A) Head up.
B) Head down. |

"Up we go." You say.
Could be in better condition, though nothing seems 'ancient' to you, no rust, nor -many- indicators of damage. Maybe there was a minor battle taken place; hopefully you find something worth of value in a cache, or the armory. Thoroughly scavenging through intact rooms, and on your way to the armory, you hear a light noise and receive a motion ping on your radar.
Could very well be a rat, or some other form a rodent, If there are any about. Coudl also be opposition, and an opportunity to either receive information and escape, or get into a scuffle; hopefully a physical altercation, rounds are limited.
Passing a corner, In your peripheral you catch a gleam; checking it you see a few live rounds strown across the floor trailing to a door that's ajar, curious you cautiously follow the trail to the room, finding a stripped armory, though -few- things seem useful...
A) Thorough Search.
B) Explore elsewhere.
C) Backtrack. |
