I didn't do much research, so some of this might already be a thing. Gun control in America should be stricter. When getting a license, people with criminal background should not be allowed, or limited, to a guns license. Of course this excuses minor offenses like speeding, littering, ect. In addition to that, people with extreme mental or emotional problems will be prohibited. This excludes mental problems like Tourette or other minor problems. Also, people should have to be an American citizen. If the person is an immigrant and are waiting for the citizenship, if they break laws their gun rights should be limited. Although that law might be rendered useless seeing they could be deported anyways. And if a neighbor or a local business has many complaints about that person, that could also affect the limitations. That depends on what they complain about.
In addition, should we be in war time, foreign threats, or other crisis with foreign nations, refugees or people with family in that country should be denied gun rights until the war or threat is over. Also, people who live or are traveling through or in the airspace of political areas shouldn't be allowed to carry a gun or a weapon. This means if somebody is walking, or lives within a certain distance of say, the White House or Capitol, they can't have a gun or weapon of them. But non-lethals, like tasers are permitted. In addition to guns, knifes if in public should have to a razor a certain length. If it is too big, it can’t be used in public. And say somebody commits a minor crime, like having a gun in public without a cover. They should have their license taken for a set time, or taken all together.
