i recommend you listen to it kinda long but it's good enough that it'll seem much shorter than the actual runtime not my favorite album of the year but certainly up there |

| It lacks musicality. I like instrumental talent, I'm a big thrash metal guy because of the intense musicality. |

a lot of rap music takes immense skill, whether it be crafting lyrics, constructing a beat (it's more than just messing around in a computer software) you still need to know how to craft a song and basic skills of making music saying an entire genre lacks musicality is incredibly ignorant
and out of fear of this thread being ruined, it's not like thrash metal is a genre of immense talent sure you get bands like vektor and watchtower, but most thrash metal is more of a mess around have fun genre, like anthrax or municipal waste |

| Mess around, have fun, genre, that is not accurate. Anthrax may not be extremely talented, and I wouldn't consider Municipal Waste to be thrash, but, bands like Vektor, Testament, Death Angel, Megadeth, Kreator, there is insane instrumental talent there, and, I'm listening to the Kendrick album, and it is not an easy listen, the lyrics make no sense. Also, top notch production doesn't mean anything. Some of the best albums ever were produced pretty badly. |

| Most rap beats sound overly simple for my tastes. I get why they're not overly complicated, but, the simplicity bores me. |

"the lyrics make no sense"
lol
i'm gonna let you know a little something about me
i used to be a thrash kid in 8th and 9th grade i still listened to other music, including rap, but my favorite genre was thrash metal i eventually grew out of that phase, because the genre got very stale for me
and yeah, i like some of the bands you mentioned but i'd never say they're top tier talents aside from alex skolnick and some of megadeth's past guitarists most thrash instrumentation is actually incredibly simple
if the lyrics in the new kendrick album don't make sense to you then you clearly aren't listening well enough and just getting a shallow interpretation of the lyrics he's saying a lot more than just "THIS **** AIN'T FREEEEEEE" is what i'm saying and even that song he's saying more than you'd think upon a first shallow listen |

| I know simple isn't bad, but, I actually don't like punk. And yes while most thrash rhythms are not overly complicated, there are moments of extreme complexity, like solos and such. Rob Cavestany from Death Angel is a very good guitarist, and like has been already said, Alex from Testament is very good, but when people mention Megadeth, they always forget that Dave Mustaine is no slouch at playing. |

dave mustaine has never been a great soloist honestly especially being in the shadow of other, much better, guitarists (chris poland, marty friedman, chris broderick, just to name a few)
tell me how the production and instrumentation on TPAB is simple and how the lyrics make no sense
i'd like to know |

| Not always, many Megadeth songs are way more than power chords. |

| I like Dave Mustaine's solos, and I honestly don't think Broderick is an extremely good player, but, obviously, rap beats are simple to facilitate lyrical flow, and lyrically, I'm not hearing anything but swears and innuendo. |

congrats you didn't answer my question, very clearly didn't actually listen to the music, and just stereotyped
you're no better than the people who say metal is just noise and screaming |
