| Don't get a gaming laptop. Just build a PC. Also, don't call your PC a "gaming PC". It's so cliche and dumb. |

How is referring to something as a certain classification, the INTENDED classification, "cliche" and "dumb?" You realize there are various different types of PCs, don't you?
Claiming that referring to a gaming PC is redundant insinuates that you believe all desktops are capable of gaming equally, which isn't the case.
Moreover, I get a lot of suggestions to build my own PC, but I don't think anyone on these forums actually knows how to. Besides, that's far too much work. Why would I build my own when I could buy one that runs equally well? |

You don't know these people, why make assumptions? |

"You don't know these people, why make assumptions?"
Based on the type of comments you make. Not you personally, but OT in general. If you do know how to, then why not take a picture of it and PM me an image hosting website (Roblox won't let me say imgu-you know what), with your name written on a piece of paper next to it? |

"You realize there are various different types of PCs, don't you?" I know a hell of a lot more about PCs dude, they're all the same, with the "gaming PCs" simply just being a higher tier with better specs. They're all PCs.
"you believe all desktops are capable of gaming equally, which isn't the case." But claiming that it's a gaming PC makes it sound like it's just used ONLY for gaming. Unless you're some no-lifer, you obviously use it for stuff other than gaming. Also, all desktops (that are at least from post-2006) can run games, sure they won't run good at all, but they still run.
"Moreover, I get a lot of suggestions to build my own PC, but I don't think anyone on these forums actually knows how to." I take apart whole PCs and fix them as a job, because the only jobs that a 15 year old can get don't pay too well and take a ton of time.
"Besides, that's far too much work." JESUS CHRIST DUDE, IT TOOK ME 2 HOURS TO BUILD ONE FOR THE FIRST TIME
"Why would I build my own when I could buy one that runs equally well?" Pre-built PCs tend to cost over $150-$200 than the personally-built ones, but the pre-builds tend to have much worse PSUs as well. |

No, there isn't, but there are plenty of laptops that run all the latest games on high settings without an issue. You're not realizing that at a certain point, Graphics begin to peak out to the point where improved hardware becomes redundant.
If we're both playing the same game, and you have a better graphics card than me, yet our FPS is the exact same, does your graphics card truly matter?
Also, what are the specs for your PC? List them, please. |

Vine, like I told the other guy, feel free to take a picture of your custom built PC and send me a link in my PM.
Until then, I feel like you're just lying. |

"If we're both playing the same game, and you have a better graphics card than me, yet our FPS is the exact same, does your graphics card truly matter? " Yes it does. Just because you get the same FPS in a game as someone else doesn't mean that the GPUs are the same in terms of quality. One could be some cheapo powercolor R9 280X that fries like a grill, when the other could be some super high-end Quadro that's much better fit for 3D-rendering, and the Quadro would absolutely DESTROY the R9 280X at that. Yes, they're the same at gaming, but one may have a lot more potential at other tasks than the other. |

Back when I was 5 I took apart a Gateway and put it back together, if I could do it back then, then it should be easy as all hell.
By the way, I have a PC that's not just used for gaming. It's also my Workstation for rendering/development. So I would not describe my PC as a gaming PC.
Hell, I have an Alienware laptop and all I use it for is Visual Studio and sometimes GTA. |

"Vine, like I told the other guy, feel free to take a picture of your custom built PC and send me a link in my PM." Do I have to get out of my bed and take a picture? Fine. I'll post a twitter link in 5-10 mins.
It's just some typical AMD FX-6300 build with a cheap HD-7770 2GB from AMD. |

Impossible.
Either way, my computer sucks at the moment. I had to go back to a HD 5750 since I accidentally bricked my R9 290's BIOS. Oh well, the card was dying before that. |

| Don't ask why the cable management was terrible. Let's just say that I wanted to do some cleaning on it one day but got lazy and just threw it back together quickly. |
