Well, I had a friend over and showed him ROBLOX, and he wanted to play, it took a long time to take turns, so I thought of ROBLOX's possibly new update. Split screen.
Now I know, it may be scripted into one's place, but not everyone can script as well as some players on ROBLOX. So think of others that can't script.
There could be an option in the Edit Place menu that allows you to activate if Split screen can be enabled onto the place. So once the second player has joined they will be named after the username EXAMPLE: Username123(1)
Then the second player could use the ASDW keys and the E key like the space. But now that I think of it, WHAT IS GONNA BE THE SECOND PLAYERS MOUSE? Why did I talk in caps?
So I kinda need ideas for a second mouse, or you can support me idea?
tl;dr. |

| No, that's a bad idea. Could you imagine how laggy that would get? |

Ignore my last post.
Lag mainly comes from a users PC.
A good example is Telamon. He has hardly any lag in his videos, even with all those stalkers. |

| You could use the Split Screen by yourself and abuse lots of things. And it would get a bit laggy, considering you're getting twice the information of everybody else. |

| I'm not flaming it. I never once flamed it. I just gave my reasoning as to why it could fail. |

| Well, in some cases, the idea just completely fails. I mean, this one doesn't fail. It's a good idea in theory, but it would lag a lot in practice. |

It's an interesting idea. However, the WASD keys can be used by players WITHOUT splitscreen. That is what i use, for it is more accesable to the mouse(trackpack in my case...)
But this is a nice idea. It would be very interesting for this. But, how would they switch gears and move camera angles? |

| Wait I know! Second play will use the numpad! (Or a gamepad controller, if they have one) 8 4 6 and 2 will be move keys, + and - will be zoom out/in, 7 and 9 will be left/ right mouse button, and U H J K keys to move the mouse around! |

| It's not a great idea. They would have no mouse. Or mouse buttons. Think of someone on a laptop. The little dot in the middle of the keyboard as the mouse (that's my mouse) and another hand 2 inches away. It would get frustrating. The mouse is the fatal error. |

If you want to play with someone on roblox in your house
Make sure you have 2 PC or 1 PC and 1 Laptop
and then Play Roblox together...Simple as that!
IMO this idea is ok, but the problem is, what if 2 people trying to play roblox on 1 PC with split screen, you'll have no room on keyboard right? |

I have a better idea for controls:
Additional Players can use the XBox or PS4 Controller, using the right stick to look around while in First Person Mode, and left stick or dpad to move. RT or LT (R2 or L2 on PS4) can be used to scroll through gear. R1 can be your joypad's "Right Mouse Button" while in the game, and L1 can be your joypad's "Left Mouse Button" while in the game, but the controls won't be the same while the ROBLOX Main Menu is up. Cross and/or Circle, or A and/or Y on XBOX, can be used to jump, or confirm a selection (Left Click) in the roblox menu and npc dialogs. Square and/or Triangle, or B and/or Y on XBOX, can act as the escape key or Goodbye option while in the roblox menu or npc dialogs. Whether or not you are in the roblox menu, your other "escape key" is your Options button on PS4, or start on xbox (I have no idea how xbox controllers work, so you may correct me if necessary there). You can use the dpad to change the highlighted choice in npc dialogs and the roblox menu. When not in First Person mode, the right stick, when the roblox menu is not up or no npc dialog is up, will be used to move your "mouse cursor" in the game.
Also, my idea of how split screen could work:
The developer of a ROBLOX multi-place game could be able to enable split screen in game configurations, or override that setting in place configurations. When someone joins via split screen if enabled, the current camera object used by the ROBLOX client could be split into as many camera objects as necessary, and the window also could be split into as many parts as necessary, instead of having multiple roblox clients, which in theory, could prevent lag, because you don't get the data of the ROBLOX place sent to you more than once. Having Multiple ROBLOX Windows just for split screen could use up a lot of CPU, so I believe having split screen on one ROBLOX Window could save CPU. |
