Hey, I play Kingdom Life 2 ALOT and I have many ideas for the third game that both me and some of the other members of the community might want to see: 1. Currency - This is probably the biggest one on my list as most of my other ideas involve currency in some shape or form but currency is a item I've long craved for since Kingdom Life 2 as it could open many, many doors in the game. Merchant NPCs could sell the player some much needed items from Healing Potions all the way to a Legendary Sword. Trading would also be nice. 2. PVE - This is a great feature in many RPGs that should of been in Kingdom Life a long time ago but here's an opportunity to create PVE. You could just add random mobs around the world that the players can start combat with and after killing a mob they gain XP towards their next level and have an option to loot the corpse for items. What would also be good are PVE Dungeons (like how World of Warcraft does them), these are difficult areas that players should group together to tackle! In Dungeons there would be harder enemies and bosses (these bosses could have a rare chance to drop some "Special Loot" that only they can drop) but there are more rewards for your risk! 3. Levelling - One of the key features of an RPG. Each time you kill an enemy you will gain XP which will stack towards your next level. Once levelled, you get around 5 stat points to upgrade your stats and 1 skill point to upgrade or unlock a skill. Your class (classes have been confirmed in Kingdom Life 3) will influence what skills you may unlock. 4. Crime system - Kingdom Life 3 really needs a crime system, if you want to be play as crazy murderer, a street pickpocket or your typical crime lord this idea is for you. You should be able to commit various crimes like Assault, Murder, Theft, Trespassing, ect that you can commit againest both players and NPCs. If you get caught committing a crime, you have several choices when the Guards show up: Resist Arrest (You will be attacked by all nearby Guards, attacking them back will only increase the value of your bounty), Pay Fine (You will pay your bounty, Guards will take any stolen items on your person), Go to Jail (You will be put into jail for a certain amount of time depending on your bounty and your possessions will be gone until you've served your sentence, a friend or a complete stranger can break you out of jail by lock picking the door, this will increase the bounty level of both players but only of you move outside of your cell), Bribery (Guards are known to be greedy if shown some money, you can bribe a single Guard to ignore the crime. This won't get rid of your bounty but is helpful if you want to get out of the city with your stolen loot still with you). Also you are automatically set into PVP when you are caught commiting a crime and only goes off when you clear it. 5. Player Housing - In Kingdom Life 2, it got really annoying when someone came into your house and just takes it over. Adding onto the currency system, you could make it so that almost every single building is purchasable. Each building would be set one of these groups: Housing (buildings where you can live, you may store items and move your family into here, you may only own one at a time and homes can only be purchased if no one occupies them, be them player or NPC), Stalls/Shops (you can start your own business by purchasing a business charter and filling it out, once that is done you may build stalls and shops, you may only have 1 stall/shop inside each area), Farms/Mines (Dig out a tunnel with a pickaxe or plow some land fresh land and get your mine or farm ready because they are a great source of money especially when selling ore/ingots to a player who is a Blacksmith and selling food/ingredients to a player who is a Cook or a Alchemist) and finally "Special" buildings (These have certain requirements to unlock but they reward you for purchasing them. Some of these also work as other types of buildings, like how a Castle is a Special House, but these don't effect the count of how many properties you can have). 6. Guild's/Factions - Guild's and Factions, one of the most enjoyable features in an RPG. In Kingdom Life 3, it would be good if there was joinable Factions like The Elder Scrolls have, but that's not the big reason of this point, I want Player-Runned Guilds in the game. This would be so great creating or joining a Guild and building your way up the ranks whilst competing with other Guild mates to get to the top. Each Guild will have one Guild Hall (there main base) which can be stationed where there is a free plot and then the Guild can upgrade the place and even make one Guild Base in each Kingdom to give you an edge inside each Kingdom. Your Guild may attack and takeover cities or gain permission to garrison your troops from a cities King, you can even build Guild Embassy in cities your garrisoned in. Also, Guild Wars! Taking down other guild's and the cities that support them would be great. 7. PVP - I hated the PVP Servers on Kingdom Life 2 so why don't you change the PVP system up a bit? Let the players invite others to duels (taking ideas from WoW, again), these duels will be more friendly based and just to test your mettle againest a rival but you can also choose other types of duels like brawls, death duels and even Guild War PVP. 8. More than one Kingdom - Kingdom Life 3 should show us more to the world, let us travel past the mountains and let us discover new environments within the world, Kingdom Life could become more political with the Kingdoms each vying for power and the "travelling tradesman" playstyle would be a much better and a more memorable option. |

Question: Do you even KNOW what an RP game is?
No PVP, it's an RP game. Play sword fights. No currency, you should customize your character how you like. PVE could be cool, but only with NPCs, no PVP. NO LEVELLING. It's a ROLEPLAY, no point. Not an RPG, dunce. Crime is chosen by the King/Authorities, already there. Housing is somewhat decent, except people might get prime estate, when they're peasants. Guilds and factions, maybe. Just to show rank.
Maybe play an RPG rather than a Rleplay if you want this.

"This forum is for posting fictional stories involving your characters, and for role-playing out a scenario with other players." -da rules
Notice how it doesn't say "This forum is for posting about your games and groups." Granted, the rules also say "NO ROMANCE" in all caps because the mods think they're tuff, but it's okay to pick-and-choose what rules you want to follow. It's like I'm really a Christian. |

things like rules or whatever dont belong here, but if it's something ike a chracter sheet it still should be here
this thread specifically belongs in game development, but if someone were to make a character sheet thread here that'd be acceptable techincally, as it's considered making a story.

Sorry, guys! I'm new to the forums and didn't know which forum I should put it under RP. Also for those who are saying that I don't know what RPG means, it means "Role Playing Game". |

| Z0rr0w please just take a break from these forums and the internet for a while, anyone could see the crippling hypocrisy in your post with a simple re-read. Even if it's you being serious or hinting at your cringy eight year old waifus, it's painful to read. |

No, I wasn't hinting at my waifu (she's 17). If I was hinting at my waifu, I'd use her name. There is no reason, at all, for me to have mentioned her in the post. I only talk about her when I'm not constructing an argument, unless the argument is about her or the arguer has mentioned her.
It is, then, me being serious. I'm surprised you managed to at least get one of the alternatives to my post correct. I'm going to assume you think it's "painful to read" because you assume I've made such a mention of that particular rule due to some unfounded belief that I absolutely thrive of the engagements and merits of ERP and also attempt to OD the females on this forum. Actually, I think you're just lying about that part to help drive your point of toxicity and sheer rudeness home, but I will assume that you haven't lied about yourself in your post.
The assumption brought up firstly is false. I mentioned that rule because it is a universally-unfollowed rule (for the most part). It's exceedingly rare for someone to write out "no romance" in their RP's rules, and even rarer for them to go out of their way to enforce that rule. It's much more common for there to be a rule that specifically allows romance, with some warning about it being done at the roleplayers' own risk.
There's a plethora of other rules that are universally-unfollowed (Literally all the entries underneath the "What Not To Post" section of the Rules for All Forums except for the trading and raffle ones), but I chose to bring up the one about romance because it has the most pertinence to the roleplaying forum. After all, roleplaying is writing, and romance is a key component, or at least just a regular component, in many works of writing.
I hope you have understood my post and reached a shocking new revelation. If you still wish for me to shut off my internet and leave this forum so you can feel safer or more comfortable, I am sorry that you feel that way. |
