when you play a game such as cs at 60-80 frames a second you put yourself at a serious disadvantage when compared to someone who plays at 120+ fps. even if they are playing with 120fps on a 60hz monitor, their input lag and frame latency is going to be reduced by a significant amount of time. your mouse movement and key presses need to be as precise as possible, when youre aiming, strafe cancelling, strafe jumping, bunnyhopping etc.
assume op plays at 80fps on a 60hz monitor, he is going to have an input delay of around 15 mile-seconds as opposed to someone who runs at 300fps on 144hz monitor who would be getting almost no input lag at all. even if the person playing at 300frames played on 60hz, he will still have an edge over op, his key inputs and mouse movements will be nowhere near as jerky or delayed.
15ms might not sound like a lot but it has a huge affect on your ability to perform in cs or shooter for that mater.

you can even notice it in op's clip. his aim is sloppy, he lacks proper spray control, his movement is sloppy and overall he just lacks proper control of his charcter.
all though these things actually require practice to master (and i wouldnt expect an mge level player to be in full control of his movement and sprays) it still makes life a whole lot easier if you have the extra 200 frames to work with. |

what do you mean? if you cant get a source game to run at a minimum 120fps in 2015 i think its time to get a new pc. |

also let's not forget the counter strike games are optimized to work well around 300fps
it's why you can actually SEE a difference in framerate between 100 and 300 if you look. personally I find it hard to play on anything under 200fps because you're losing potential frames |

On a competitive game, having as much frames as possible is the best as it reduces the amount of input lag and just makes the game much more smoother
Over 200 is pretty much the best in CS GO |
