I'm at loss of words for the idiocy of people that seem to actually believe this.
God, what has the world turned into. All I see everywhere around me is people too lazy to live even the most mediocre of lives. |

| You tax the rich kids on Wall Street and use that money to pay for it. At least that's Sanders' plan in a nutshell. |

People make a choice to go to university. I wasn't aware that people that willingly wanted to educate themselves could be described as "lazy" or "mediocre". Really, now.

agreed, im desperate to learn stuff, but i just cant because im not some rich kid
"Work for a job"
first of all its not fair that some kids can just have their parents pay for their college right away after they graduate for high school, while i have to work a few years after high school to have the privilege of doing college i cant find a job because of the crappy circumstances ive been put in, im not even joking, im 100% sure that there is no equal opportunity |

college isn't that expensive if you apply yourself in high school and get subsidies + scholarships
i got 30k off for just living in the same state and applying to random scholarships, didn't even apply myself |

Free college is very possible. The US government spends 69 billion on higher education already -- free tuition would cost another 62 billion on top of that (and probably less, because of all the loans in the 69 billion that would no longer exist). Source: "Here's Exactly How Much the Government Would Have to Spend to Make Public College Tuition-Free" by The Atlantic.
Even fixing small loopholes that allow some corporations to avoid some taxes would give the US that money, same with reducing the size of the military. |

awards don't do much
colleges love students who are in a ton of extracurricular activities
+ you could commute + working on campus does a lot + loans, which do suck after tho + gov subsidies + go to a community college for 2 years then get sent to a better local college for very cheap |

well they gave me awards for my academic achievements, because my grades in different classes were so high, thats what i meant even if i could afford it i would have to like move into a dorm because like i have no mode of transport that would make sense |

well if you are a white male you're pretty screwed as colleges don't want us, as they want diversity
but my friend managed to make it into a fairly expensive school and she comes from a poor family
but everyones story is different

honestly paying $100 on a book is rediculous
ESPECIALLY when you only needed the book for that one paragraph in page 59
