"dude steam is your friend it has a description and reviews right there" I'm lazy. But seriously I didn't really focus on that when I was looking, I was just told to look at the pictures at least.

A indie RPG made mainly created by one dude over a few years (with help from friend here and there).
It's fun, it's silly, it's serious, lovable characters, it has a really cool and unique battle system with RPG and bullet hell elements, and most of all... the main gimmick of the game. "A game where no one has to die." They really mean it, you don't have to kill a single monster in this game. Instead of killing something, you may instead talk or convince them out of fighting and show them Mercy.
Explaining deeper would be spoilers, it's just one of those games where it's best to jump in completely blind and go in for the ride.

Ah, sounds decent enough, And for the whole "Not killing" part, it sounds like my game so I don't need to grind (Because god knows how much I've had to grind in games, Lookin at you diablo.) and can actually beat the game without all that. I've also heard that there's apparently multiple endings, Is that true? "the best ending of the game requires you have 0 exp at level 1 at the end of the game" This game sounds like the "Logan way to play games" |

I didn't really think about it today and from all this talk about undertale, I just got curious and asked OT. |

Eh I guess it's a good game OP
I only played the demo so I can't judge
Basically you can choose to kill everything in your way(but it will be hard) or you can spare everything in your way!(but it will also be hard, remember that if their nametag is suddenly yellow..you can spare them)
Or you can do a mix of both but that'll most likely land you in the "neutral" zone

Yes, the game have multiple endings, sorta. The two "complete" endings are the two extremes, all the way one path and all the way another path. The neutral endings between the two extremes are incredibly varied depending on what you do throughout the game, and most players get a neutral ending the first playthrough.
Also, I want to say this: The game almost NEVER gets boring. It just CONSTANTLY throws new stuff at you as you play. It's shorter than most RPGs out there (mostly because of its uniqueness and indie status) but damn is it sweet.

You are a blind Dora the Explorer, you fall down a hole and meet a flower whos just an awful person overall, you then find goat mom, goat mom tries to keep you from moving through the rest of the underground world because everyone else who went through died due to the awful flower.
As you progress through the underworld, you meet various characters and in order to get past them and to the end of the game, you have to either fight them, or somehow survive enough to get past them another way.
Basically it allows you to talk your way out of combat through the whole story.
Combat is basically complicated timing puzzles and in no way feels like combat.
eventually you get to the end and defeat the flower, and you win, happily ever after, unless you killed everyone
Its really not that great IMO, it really heavily reminds me of a newgrounds 8bit flash RPG i played a long time ago, the game itself isnt too bad, but the fans are. Creating backstories, fanfiction, fancannon, etc, its annoying |

"All I did was ask, you didn't need to get annoyed. I didn't really think about it today and from all this talk about undertale, I just got curious and asked OT." so did you want our opinions on it or did you want a description on it because it isn't that hard to read a usually small, basicish description on steam about a product |

It's one of the best games I've played in a while. I got it one day without knowing much about it and ended up staying up all night finishing my first run of it. If you plan on playing it I suggest you do with as little knowledge about the game as possible.

"until it gets a ton of sequels within a year"
It took a couple of years for Undertale to be made, unlike FN@F that took like three months.

Even if i don't like it, 5n@f has it's merits. Robot design is really cool. It does create a tense atmosphere. Pre-rendered graphics are a treat. Lore is actually kind of interesting, if you don't take it TOO seriously. Scott Cawthon is bro tier.

Toby already said he isn't going to make a straight sequel. It'll probably be more like the MOTHER series definition of sequel, where it's only tied to the last game by one plot thread (giygas from MOTHER showing up in MOTHER 2, and Porky showing up in MOTHER 3).
There's also a non canon comic, a patch, hardmode, and whatever Gaster is happening. |
