They do it for place trailers. The main reason they won't do it in-game is because of data base concerns, or otherwise storing all user created videos.
Well with youtube all they gotta do is make sure the video doesn't have an age restriction on it, and have that video streamed through youtube through an embedded URL, and into the ROBLOX in-game on some standard brick size. (To avoid issues with resolution and formatting)
Anyone support this idea? It would also be great for making moving graphics, for GUI HUD s and such. |

*Player makes game with 10,000 bricks, all loading different youtube videos* No Support, that would kill the servers.
I made a new word! It's called plagiarism! |

I'm sorry, but that's unlikely. There are some videos that are made for mature audiences but somehow slid past the age restriction. Also, the videos in question may have swearing anyway (Pewdiepie videos?), which violates one of the major rules on Roblox. |

@EoxTheHedgeHog
Then how do you explain user submitted trailers for their games? Because each video is reviewed!
Then you might say, well if everyone submitted videos, it would take too long for ROBLOX to review them all!
Well that's why you price them pretty high, just like the price tag on place trailers. |

Stop motions is the one that works in game. Sorry to burst your bubble but that is all and should be all.

@Chibtrio
No it wouldn't because ROBLOX has restraints on game servers.
You could argue that you could have a million different sounds playing at once, and that would destroy a server as well, but look at that, ROBLOX has sounds.
Oh and particles. And all these other features that when abused could "kill a server".
But in reality, it couldn't because 1 roblox server is divided up into multiple in-game servers, and they all have their limits of utilization (you can see it in the F9 panel in-game in a percentage). |
