ive got a cool fan base for one of my games (on another acc) and i want to reward them for getting new players into the game
ideas on a system i could use to reward people for working cooperatively / bringing friends / something along those lines?
just need ideas. i can do the scripting.
id also rather not get data stores or data persistence involved :/ |

If you can make a game good enough to get a fan base, you should be good enough to check the dang wiki
it's called /Players/FollowId i think |

Then, you should honestly be smart enough to check the Wiki. Unless, of course you are expecting us to give you the entire code; because we won't. |

When a newplayer joins have a script that will check his/her friends and then reward any of those users if there ingame at that moment if it is there first time playing
and then have it wait for a day or however long you want it until that script can be ran again if they do have a friend in that game and that friend was rewarded
or if there not ingame then just have it end the script. |

@legit,@lil not what i was asking for at all
talking more about game design than actual scripting i can make what i want to make (not an issue) the problem is that i dont know what to make
so, for example, i could make it reward a player every time one of their friends follows them into a game. that's cool and all, but it's WAY too abusable, and furthermore... what if they don't go around friending every one of their friendly acquaintances? i just think the friends list is impractical as a determinant. I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE for the title of the thread, since it says "friends". I meant it more loosely. |
