I found a stray dog, but I couldn't find the owner.. But now some random people say they want him even though they're not the owners.. And my parents know the family so they feel awkward to say no. Even though the family is a really mean family. They're coming at 2:00, it's 12:35. I'm trying to find ways so that they wouldn't want him. My family still wants him too. We've had him for a while and really are attached to him. Any ideas? Maybe something to make him smell badly, act a little unfriendly to them? Idk. Any ideas? Thanks!

and also, dont let the mean family into your home, lock all doors, when they come to your house, dont let them in, if they call the police, tell the police that the family is trying to steal a puppy that isnt even theirs

Thanks everyone for trying to help. But it's my parents house, and they're the one arranging this, so I don't think I can. :c I have to let them in cause my parents will be right there. Is there any other reason why they wouldn't want him? We already took him to look for owners and he didn't have one. All I need help with is how to make him look "undesirable." AND QUICKLY. They're be here in less than half an hour!!

I already fed him a little bit of garlic so his breath would smell a little bad. Then got him wet and put him outside so his fur would smell bad (don't worry, it wasn't cold) What else? D:

Hmm, I guess just take care of it while it's with you.

Why don't one of your family members go somewhere (with a car) and bring the dog with him/her. Then (like someone else already stated), say you let him outside, went to go get a glass of water and when you came back he "ran away"

would, but my family is Christian, so we don't believe in lying.. Or something like that. I just really want to keep it, but my parents now feel like they "owe" the family. Which they don't! Hellppp. I'm not looking for anything other than ideas of how to make them not want to adopt him.. Ways to make him smell, maybe not even like them? 10 mins till they get here!!

Sorry, anyways, why can't you guys say "no" anyways? Does your mom or dad have S.A.D or something like that? (not trying to be offensive, just wondering.)

Tell your parents that if they were true Christians they wouldn't give a dog to someone who'd put it at risk of abuse.

Obviously they don't have separation Anxiety Disorder, you're obviously trying to be offensive. But it's not going to work. So just stop. Okay, thanks.

Uhh, no. I have SAD and have a friend with it too. One of the things about it is that it's hard to say "no" to people...
