Dear Marines,
As I am writing this now I am letting out a sigh of relief. These last few weeks of me being CMC have become very stressful, and I was not able to preform to the best of my ability. Perhaps, when I wasn't in high school, didn't have a girlfriend, and wasn't forced to stay at school till 6:30 (Now 8:30) I would have been able to preform at peak proficiency, as I was once able to as FORSPAC CO. I was planning on retiring this week as I realized that me being away has impacted the Corps more then I hoped it did. For that, I am sorry.
Being CMC isn't what it is all cracked up to be. You're now the face of the Corps, everything your Marines do reflects on you no matter the outcome. It's stressful at times, annoying, and frankly, not as glorious as I had once thought it was.
There is, however, one thing I would like to say. Every man I hired, every man I fired, every Marine I protected or shut down during my time as CMC I do not regret. I believe everything I did was for the good of the Corps.
Now it is my time to retire, as most JCS do after getting fired, if I rejoin then I will probably not take up a position that requires hours of time on this game as my former job did. I wish you all luck in the future. Semper Fi Marines.
