Michigan:
Despite their loss to Michigan State, they're still ranked #15. Jake Rudok has played decent in his last few starts, but its been the defense that has helped this team. Before the MSU game, they had 3 straight shutouts, including a win against non-conference opponent BYU. Also a look into next season: Michigan, who's loaded with QBs, will have another quarterback added as a walk-on. Pennsylvania QB, Michael Shuster will join the gang. He's proven himself on smaller stages, but we'll see how he can handle spring training and whether or not he'll be a starter. If they beat the Gophers tonight, they'll be eyeing Ohio State, 3 games away. A big chance to show Ohio State isn't all that. |

LSU Vs Alabama:
For the first time in a little while, LSU has a shot at going back to Atlanta. They have a shot at putting down Alabama. LSU, the only undefeated SEC team, is hungry. Leonard Fournette is no doubt right now the heisman front-runner. He's outperformed everyone, including Nick Chubb (who suffered an injury and is out for the season). However, Alabama has a running back of their own. Derrick henry is going to look and show people he's not afraid to back down. Even though these two won't see the field at the same time, they both have a giant impact on this game. Don't forget, Brandon harris is also a threat in the run game. People were weary of him at the beginning of the season, but he's steadily improved and now asserts himself as a quality starter. If the play action game can get going, blowout for LSU. However, Alabama is always prepared for these types of games; don't forget, it's a rivalry.
Prediction: LSU 42-34 |

Mizzou:
For the first time in 2 years, you will not see black, grey, yellow and white in the SEC championship. A good start to season, questionable based off poor performance vs UCONN, the tigers look to regain their edge. They head into the bye week, most likely getting Maty Mauk back from his suspension. Quarterback Drew Lock, freshmen, has performed well during his absence, showing off his arm strength, but not being able to put up points against teams like Georgia and Vanderbilt, who are also, to be fair, to very good defensive teams. At home VS Mississippi state in a week, look for the tigers to get a quick start. It's believed Maty Mauk will take back the reigns as the starting QB.
Mizzou Vs MSU Prediction: 17-13 Tigers |

UCLA:
Josh Rosen was posting up Cody Kessler type stats early in the season. Heading into the bye week with 2 losses, UCLA hasn't played too bad this season. They play Oregon State in a week, who play at Utah right now. Look for UCLA to keep doing their gameplan, opening up the passing game for Mr. Rosen. [I checked Rosen out before he committed to UCLA last spring. I was very impressed in his arm strength and his decision making. Check out his highlight tape and also his grades on Rivals and 247. I compare him to Drew Lock, with better body work, which will lead to better accuracy by the time he's a senior. Remember, he's only a True Freshman.]
UCLA Vs OSU Prediction: 42-17 UCLA |

Oklahoma:
This team is in good shape. One blemish on their schedule. They should have an easy game against Iowa State next week. Their final 3 games can really put them in playoff talk, as they face Baylor, TCU and OKST back-to-back-to-back weeks. Sterling Shepard is a valuable piece to this team. They have a decent run game with Samaje Perine. Baker Mayfield can help this team become more successful than last year and they have a shot at beating Baylor, now without Seth Russell. TCU has looked vulnerable and it depends on the play of OK's defense, including Erik Striker and if this team can contain Trevone Boykin, a heisman candidate. If they can defeat both Baylor and TCU, they'd also get a key road game against the Cowboys to end the season. Winning all 3 of these games, with some help, could get them to crack the top 4.
Oklahoma Vs ISU Prediction: 55-21 OK |

Penn State:
Penn State has only 2 losses and are 3rd in the east. Christian hackenberg had a shaky start, after being hyped as an NFL first rounder. He's settled in a little and Penn State has flown under the radar. State can still play spoiler, as they play Michigan and Michigan state for their last 2 games. If they can get the run game going, they could make a decent bowl game. Their losses, to Temple (21) and Ohio State (1), make them look pretty good. They could be in the top 25 if they were able to defeat Temple in that week one matchup. I thought this team would be about where they are now at the beginning of the season. They have looked bad, but their record shows that they still have a chance, with a young team.

Duke:
Once again, they crack the top 25. Really impressive where this program is going. At 6-1, they haven't faced many tests. Right now, they're losing 14-3 against Miami, who's struggled all season. This would be a crushing loss, taking them out of the top 25. Over performing once again, a lot of young recruits will want to come here, not for basketball either. Their only loss was to Northwestern and it looks like a bad loss now, but they have played pretty well. They beat Virginia tech in a shootout 45-43, who's season was ruined after a hopeful start with Michael Brewer until he got injured.
Duke Vs NC: Duke 27-21 |

Tennessee:
After a blowout win Vs Kentucky, the Vols look impressive. They played it tight down to the wire against Alabama and their record doesn't show how good they are. Joshua Dobbs is one of the best QBs in the SEC, no doubt. Put this guy in place of Brandon Harris and he'd put up big numbers. Let's take a look at their schedule: Vs SC, North texas, @ Mizzou, Vs Vandy. All 4 of these games are easily winnable. If Jalen Hurd can put up numbers down the stretch, we'll see an 8-4 team that should have went at least 10-2. I don't think Butch Jones should be under the hot seat. Yes, they let games slip away, but they beat the pre-season SEC East favorites, Georgia and had close losses to two elite SEC teams including: Florida and Alabama.
VOLS Vs SC Prediction: 38-14 UT |

Oregon:
It was suppose to be a surprisingly good season with the timely pickup of QB Vernon Adams Jr. Disappointingly, the Ducks are 5-3 and have a tough rode to get to the Pac-12 Championship. They have a great offense, as usual but the defense has given up 30+ points 5 times, including 42 to Eastern Washington. Rolls-Royce (AKA Royce Freeman) has carried a lot of the load and he's impressed coming off of a good freshmen campaign. He had a 64 yard rush TD against ASU, helping lift the Ducks to a 61-55 win. This team has been improving and they have a chance to play spoiler against Stanford in 2 games.
Oregon Vs Cal Prediction: 45-42 Oregon |

Portland State: All I have to say is they can compete with some D1 squads. They defeated North Texas 66-7! They also defeated Wazzu 24-17. Good job, put these teams that play scrubs to shame.
Mount Union: They're undefeated and the most points they've given up was 17 against Heidelberg. With 2 games left, their chances of running the table is very high. |

West Virginia:
Remember when they were in the top 25? Sure seemed like a while ago. Disappointing season, too bad they didn't have Clint Trickett either. Also losing other key pieces, they still have an offense. It sputtered Vs TCU last game, only scoring 10 points. The defense gave up 40. Losing 4 straight, we'll see if Morgantown can rally this team as they play a home game Vs Texas Tech. Karl Joseph's injury made the defense take a big hit. Look for them to be able to put up points next week, or its a 5th straight loss.
WVU Vs Texas Tech Prediction: 48-44 T-Tech |
