Not all of it.
But when you spend half the year, learning how to annotate a damn poem and find the metaphors/diction of it (which I can't think of ONE REALLY GOOD PAYING JOB THAT REQUIRES THAT KNOWLEDGE), you know the education system is messed up. |

They need to teach that in school instead of how to identify author tones in a book. NO GOOD PAYING JOB ON EARTH REQUIRES YOU TO KNOW TONE OF VOICE IN A BOOK.

@thelego
Tell me one person that has succeeded in life by knowing/studying metaphors in a poem, except for the teacher of course. And being a teacher isn't really that great of a "success" |

Being a teacher is a bad choice. It doesn't pay well at all. Nearly all my teachers complain about not having enough $$$ to be 'free', but I think to myself, "If you wanted cash, then you should not have been a teacher."

| It all stems from us trying to compete with other countries, (If you're talking about the U.S of course) |

| Some teachers make good money. Looked up some salaries of teachers in my previous school, and the top payed one was making 97k a year, pretty damn good for someone that's living alone! and some only made 35k a year. depends on the subject your teaching, your education, and how long you've been teaching |

here's a quote “As we cannot be universal by knowing everything there is to know about everything, we must know a little about everything, because it is much better to know something about everything than everything about something. Such universality is the finest. It would be still better if we could have both together, but, if a choice must be made, this is the one to choose. The world knows this and does so, for the world is often a good judge.”
― Blaise Pascal, Pensées
basically it's better to know a little about everything. |
