| I'm 18. What's wrong with helping future devs? I've taught a good amount that have actively used RBX.Lua for 1-2 years now. |

| Well they do ask for your full name and location. Half the reason may be legal issues. |

| People under 13 years of age might find certain things offensive, and Roblox doesn't want to take that risk. You're allowed to "mildly" curse there, and some people may take offense to that. |

@Cnt I'm advanced for my age, but since your clearly more mature I can guess you think im stupid, but I have been on the wiki for a while, and I was interested... (@Iforgothisuser I'm not addicted, or obsessed, I never had a "Childhood" since my parents don't really care about me, so they just let me play on the computer, but after a month of playing roblox, I got bored with it, then I wanted to program, and actually be more productive....Plus I could actually, but a extreeemely small chance I could make a program made out of batch[idk what .dll's are, I just know there libraries for data, "theoretically" says the wiki Lol]) |

But honestly, I am 12. I think of my self as a mature, and intelligent user. If I am wrong, please correct me but; There are -13 people in ROBLOX, who do not lack intelligence and maturity. Why would they settle the survey the instant you say you are below 13? They should give the user a opportunity to express their answers, and skills. |

| DevEx is 13+ so they probably include that in their logic. I mean obviously [they feel] 12 year-olds and below as a whole aren't worth dealing with (cost benefit, etc) even if there are a few decent ones here and there. |

Very true ^
But, if the twelve year old understands the logic, and ideas they have; Why shouldn't they be allowed in? It would open up a great experience for a lot of ROBLOX Users. |

| No, smart 12yolds would wait until 13 instead of cry about how they can't wait 1 more year. |

The developer forums are not 13+ -- it's just a restriction on the application. There are three ways to become a member of the developer forums:
- ROBLOX thinks you'd be such a great addition that they add you on their own - Someone nominates you on the forums because they think you're a great addition - You submit an application
Even if you're 8, if you're good at what you do and can contribute to the forums, you can get in by the first two ways. Restricting applications to 13+ makes applications more manageable. ROBLOX gets an unfathomable amount of applications, and since most people under thirteen wouldn't get in, age aside, anyway, it acts as a flood gate keeping out almost certain would-be declined applications making it easier to sort through them. If you're good at what you do, you'll be nominated, regardless of age, so don't make a big deal over the application age restriction.
Also, don't mind CeaselessSoul -- he's just upset because he was booted from the developer forums for instigating and whatnot. |

I'm pretty sure that applications are meaningless (or they were whenever I applied like two years ago). When I applied they said they aimed to accept only 5% of applicants. My application should've easily landed in that range, most likely the top percentile given the time period and the project I was working on.
Almost everyone I know that has gotten in did so by a recommendation from a friend or several friends. That's why you have a bunch of skids in that forum (or rather, "developers" way under expectations). |
