difference of 2 squares when you see things that look like that, square root both sides and make one positive one negative
e.g. 9x²-4
sqrt the magnitudes (dont sqrt -4 that gets you 2i which is a completely different thing) sqrt 9x² = 3x sqrt 4 = 2
do factors on both sides make one the real conjugate of the other
∴ answer is (3x+2)(3x-2) |
