Changing the scripting language to Python would be a downgrade not an upgrade.
A real upgrade would be LuaJIT. |

| Just because you know Python better than Lua doesn't mean that everyone knows Python better than Lua. Also, Lua is in a lot of player-powered games (ex: Gmod) |

It's already too late to change programming languages. Millions of places already have been coded in Lua.
It would be interesting though, if they added multi-language support. So they would have Lua but also some language like c++?
Python isn't really a good language as it is more complex than lua, but more than one language support means more developers. |

1. Not changing to LuaJIT, it runs the same code as regular Lua.
2. Hmm!
3. Python is not more complex than Lua, it simply comes "Batteries included" while Lua comes with the bare bones. Lua is not meant to be used for out of the box coding, it is meant to be embed into programs and extended there. |
