They have a table of minigames and then choose a random minigame from the table. Like this.

Still isn't that hard though. He probably prematurely chose the minigame, used a for loop on the parts for a bit, and then made it so when the loop hit the corresponding part, the minigame launched,

the goes past the chosen minigame multiple times.
i doubt this is just an ugly forced effect (just loop through the blocks for 5 seconds and then color correct brick and continue)
