Bernie Sanders, yes is basically a Socialist. He is a democratic socialist.
But everyone is freaking out about socialism. For the last 44 or 45 (idek) presidents, we've had Republicans and Democrats. Citizens ALWAYS want a change, but how will they ever experience it if we do not change the leadership? Republicans and Democrats for centuries have led this country, and yes progress has been made, but. No actual progress for the Middle Class.
Socialism, Green Party, or Independent. Why not? Being quite frank with you, I'd support a Democratic Socialist or Independent before a Republican. |

Bernie's policies are identical to the ones that caused an economic miracle in postwar Germany and repelled the iron curtain. I'm all for the idea. |

Bernie would honestly help the country. People say his 18 trillion plan would ruin the economy, but I'm sure he'd fix it or thats just a rumor. Bernie would raise the middle class. Those Republicans just dont want him because of the following:
>Risk their money >Risk their trade |

| Also, I recommend you read about the trains Pacific partnership. It has some disturbing implications for intellectual property law and Bernie is the only one that can really oppose it to any degree. |

Bernie would do wonderful things for the country.
Also newsflash; and I don't know why anyone above Sophmore year HS doesn't already know this, but our country is not true capitalist.
We're Capitalist-Socialist, so Socialist elements in our politics are not "Unamerican". In fact it's still very American. |

Need I say more? In the last 15 years the Republicans have done more harm than the democratic party. |

It's also fair to know that Bernie will not turn our country into true socialism either.
We'll still be very capitalist but have protection for the lower classes. The harder workers will only see more rewards under Sanders and those who work harder still will reap more benefits.
There will just be a better distribution of wealth, less of a population under poverty levels, and best of all; THE RETURN OF OUR MIDDLE CLASS! A very elusive specimen of our economic system. |

| I believe Black Lives do matter. Why? They have been discriminated for decades, and centuries ago they were enslaved. They are always being harassed by cops, and by people themselves. |

#Blacklivesmatter? Personally I think it's over the top and I'm more of a fan of #AllLivesMatter, white, black, green, brown, whatever.
But what does that have to due with the conversation at hand? It's not a democratic system. And even though I'm morre of an All Lives Matter person it still has done no actual harm for the country. But lets keep going.

And best of all, the minimum wage is no longer a living wage. We're almost right back where we were in the '20s in certain areas where even people who work 40 hour work weeks live in a box. Quite literally in many cases. |

Black Live Matters is an organization is about bringing down Police corruption. I believe their organization will prevail and succeed in the United States, and they have the right to protest, and be great activist. They have a great voice, and topic on why Black Lives matter.
Which is why I believe Black Lives do matter. |

@Rom
As much I agree with you there, the Black Lives movement is an organization specially important. You know? Yes all lives matter, but the whole point of the movement is to be recognized, which is why I believe Bernie was correct when he was asked the question, if all lives matter, or Black Lives. |

Obviously black lives matter, but that's not my point. Idiotic black activists have been discriminating against whites because they apparently think we still want slaves, and that we still hate africans. They've been using "black lives matter" to tell that blacks>whites Which obviously isn't true, since republicans believe that all races are equal. May I remind you, when bernie sanders was asked at the democratic debate wether black lives mattered or all lives mattered, he only said black lives.
Also may I remind you, there is almost NO police corruption in the United states. Are there racist police officers? Obviously, but that would take up an extremely small amount of police officers in the USA.
I guarantee you 90% of black lives matter supporters would call a cop if they were in danger. :) |

| No Police corruption? Interesting how many innocent black lives have been slaughtered due to corrupted police. Also, you said that the movement is discriminating whites? Well, whites have been discriminating blacks for the last 400 years, so may I remind you. The Blacks may have all the right. |

While I agree with their motives and am fully aware of the police corruption being directed mostly towards black people and minorities, for me it all falls down to branding and the same reason why I dislike the gender specific name "Feminism".
It closes these sort of groups off to many and just sort of continues to encourage a type of segregation between races/classes/genders no matter how noble the cause. I think these groups need to abandon gender/race/class specific brand names, it would be a lot more progressive and effective in the long run. |
