| In all seriousness, Google says it works, but to me it just doesn't feel right. Sounds like it would damage it or something. |

@About
Even if you just set the power to low? I don't know if a vacuum's power would be that strong. |

It wouldn't damage anything but I can't see how it would improve anything either
Can of compressed air is usually the way to go |

A lot of websites say this almost exactly, but yeah. Maybe I just associate it with damaging the Xbox because of the situation in which the advice was given. |

Realistic Answer.
It will kill your Xbox.
Vac cleaners are notorious for causing static buildup. This will zap your components.
Buy a can of compressed air from your local computer store, or use a compressor if you have one. |

@Liam
Can't this be solved but just. Not having one that builds up static.
Also guys, I wasn't planning to actually do this. Just wanted to know if the claim was true or not. |

All vacuums cause static build up.
It's just the way they work. |

@Liam and Jimmy
Makes sense, but does it like, absolutely kill the Xbox? No way to prevent that? |

| Why not just use compressed air? Why so dead set on a vacuum? I don't suppose it'd be impossible, but you'd probably need to buy a really specific kind of vacuum, because a normal one would be too strong and damage your console. |

I know that it's better to use compressed air, but let's say you cannot. I was/am wondering if using a vacuum would damage the console, and according to a lot of people, it would. |

nobody bothered to call in halo5307 the xbox modder lol you will be fine if you don't remove the outer casing on a phat when using the vacumm and if you disconnect the power while vacumming. however i reccomend using compressed air after taking the xbox apart. |

um... buy one?
Buying a can of compressed air from a hardware store or something is a lot better than having to replace your entire console or send it in for repair. |
