This is a small suggestion.
Basically all the popular items with most buys, most views, etc are displayed on the first page defaultly (this option can be changed to newest, oldest, etc)
Basically like front page games, there are now front page items.
Right now it isn't like this, and if you really wanted to reward item creators you would've done this as well, instead of just price floor.
Ya I'm calling chu out ROBLOX >:o |

"Basically all the popular items with most buys, most views, etc are displayed on the first page defaultly (this option can be changed to newest, oldest, etc)"
http://www.roblox.com/catalog/browse.aspx?CatalogContext=1&SortType=0&SortAggregation=3&SortCurrency=0&LegendExpanded=true&Category=1
"Relevance" "Most Favorited" "Bestselling" "Recently Updated" "Price (High to Low)" "Price (Low to High"
every functionality you asked for is possible most buys: bestselling newest or oldest: recently updated most views would be pointless, but most favorites is superior to views
"Basically like front page games, there are now front page items."

hey look there's a page dedicated to featured items who would have guessed
"Right now it isn't like this"
yes it is |

I actually forgot about this suggestion.
But Brendon, I'm not talking about recycling subcategories, I'm talking about using all of these, including most buys, most views, etc. (maybe even most buys at a time, most favorites etc) as a criteria to figure out what items are currently trending and then have those open when you first enter the Catalog. Maybe they could even have a "trending" status if its overarching criteria makes it more trending than most items.
Featured Items is the current set-up, but new items are its priority and it only extends to items made by ROBLOX, so it doesn't necessarily indicate the most trending items as it doesn't use all of the Catalog.
This doesn't exist how I suggested it. You probably think it sounds similar to the subcategories you can use to filter out Catalog items and that's why you think I was suggesting something that already existed, but when I compared it to front page games that should've been a giveaway.
I actually don't think this is a very pressing issue, but I don't think it needs to be a pressing issue to get suggested. I just felt like putting it out there at the time. Featured Items isn't even bad, I just thought it could help all Catalog Item creators (specifically clothing creators) if "Trending" could exist with it as well. |

isn't "bestselling" enough for you?
Roblox has no time to waste making such useless features. |
