I have had the issue where I can't connect to roblox due to the error: Roblox can't connect to the internet. The resolution requires you to type something into terminal and editing the info.plist file.
You have uninstall roblox by removing the roblox and roblox studio plugin from the Applications folder to the trash. Then open Finder and search for "NPRoblox.plugin" and delete it. Then download a Roblox installer and create a new folder on your desktop called "roblox". Open the roblox installer from the download and drag the Roblox installer app to the folder you created on your desktop. It's important that the installer is in a folder and not just on the desktop for later steps. Right click the installer (the one you copied to the folder) and select "Show Package Contents", then open the Contents folder. The file needed to be edited is Info.plist Open this file with any program of your choice such as TextEdit. We need to put in some instructions that tells the installer that it is allowed to load the insecure (http) URIs that Roblox uses to download the application files.
With the roblox update and the new El Capitan update, I assume that capability of loading http urls and allowing clients to connect to the servers had a bug or were removed. Anyways

There's a reason why I used pastebin rather than typing out the steps in a forum post, and you just demonstrated it.

k e y NS()App()Transport()Security k e y d i c t k e y N S()A l l o w s () A r b i t r a r y () L o a d s k e y t r u e d i c t These lines go at the bottom of the file before the last two closing tags, so the last 7 lines of the Info.plist will look like this:
h t t p () :// () im gu r.()c o m / () k 9 N Z DCu -----> Remove () Save the edited plist file. Now we're going to created a disk image of the folder with the edited installer. Open the Application called Disk Utility. In Disk Utility click on "File > New Image > Image From Folder", select the roblox folder we created on the desktop and click "Open" then click "Save". Open the roblox folder on the desktop and double-click the Untitled.dmg disk image to mount it. Open the application called Terminal. In Terminal type: /Volumes/roblox/Roblox.app/Contents/MacOS/Roblox This should start the installer and install the Roblox and Roblox Studio. You can now play Roblox. Unfortunately, Roblox Studio won't open but you can edit the Info.plist in the Roblox Studio package contents with the same lines we used above and it will then work. |

| You don't put it in that directory. You make a folder on your DESKTOP then click on roblox.dmg and then drag the roblox icon into the folder. Then you eject the roblox player in Finder. Then you right click on the roblox icon that you placed in the folder and hit show content. Then you open Info.plist and add the lines as I stated. Then you open terminal and run that line I gave you and then it should open roblox and work. That's how I got it to work for me. I am playing death run as we speak :3 |
