I've been running into a few BS issues involving the solid modeling tools, especially with negation, and I was wondering if anyone has any information about these problems.
One problem I have been experiencing is after making a negative part and unioning with a regular part, there does appear to be a cutout in the part, but when playing, the character walks as though there was never a cut made... another issue I've had is cutting a hole in the center of a large object and when walking closer to the outer edge of that object, the character begins to walk uphill in the air to the top... and the last problem I've discovered so far is what I'm curious as a double-negative... it seems that if an object is unioned with a negative and it is unioned again with another negative, if where the 2 negative parts would be are touched when unioned in the same part, it becomes a solid space that looks invisible but you cannot walk through.
Does anyone have any ideas as to whats going on here and how to avoid it? Its been particularly annoying since I am making a town with walls, gates, and large fountains that go into the ground, and constantly running into issues like these. Thank you |

Welcome to union physics.
Most likely never gonna be fixed, you will just have to use standard parts like a pilgrim or smaller chunks of unions instead of one giant one. |

Unions are excellent for tools and small models. Bigger than a desk is generally not a good idea. |
