| Complete useless. Complete waste of money and time. We have a perfect planet for life. Why colonize Mars? Sure, the human race will get burns by the sun in billions of years, but that's really natural selection. I'd rather die on Earth than live on a desert forever (I'm immortal just so you know). |

There are reasons.
Such as research to see if Mars has chemicals we can use to cure diseases.
That's actually a legitimate reason.

What they should do is give all that money they waste on space exploration to video game companies such as Bungie, Activision, Treyarch, etc, to make them STOP WITH THE OVERPRICED DLCs and we might have world peace in the gaming world.

It is said that Humans started on earth, but will not end on earth.
Sending actual people there would be a tremendous advancement. There are many advantages to doing it. |

So you want gaming to be our focus? Not curing diseases? Preventing cancer in ALL OF US?

Good bait!
it would have worked really well if you took out the immortal part. if u did this would've got like 300 replies and several flamewars it would've been hilarious.

| The earth is getting overpopulated. We can't hold trillions of people. If we colonize other planets and people are moving all around the solar system we can have plenty of more room. I can imagine in the future people playing on their video game consoles but one kid is on earth and the other one is over in a cloud city on Saturn. |

| Fun fact: NASA stated that when the first baby is born on Mars we all have to start putting "Planet of birth" on our ID's |

| Because we are running out of resources, there is overpopulation, abd pollution. We need to colonize outside Earth to fix this problem |

| But I'm immortal /: Meh I'd rather live on the moon because it's closer to the Earth and the oxygen can be absorbed from there. |

i'd imagine being immortal (as in you cant possibly die) sucks after awhile everyone you know dies and when the universe ends you aimlessly wander in darkness |

| It would also be interesting to see other life appear on planets. Considering there are no aliens in the entire universe. (THEY'VE LOOKED OUT 68 BILLION LIGHTYEARS INTO THE UNIVERSE AND NOT A SINGLE SIGN OF LIFE IF YOU STILL THINK THAT THERE COULD BE ALIENS YOU'RE WASITNG YOUR TIME) |

I was born too early. I would want to be able to say that I am a legitimate Martian by birth (or Venusian, Jovian, Saturnian, etc.).
Respect the science! |

Yeah, there's no life. The signals they receive are from planets and stars (planets = gas giants)
