[If you find this thread HUGELY typed, I have created a TL;DR section at the bottom.]
I propose that ROBLOX should implement a feature called Particle Physics to each and every Property of Particles; such as Fire, Smoke, Sparkles, ParticleEmitter and Explosion.
I will explain how this new feature would work.
There will be another bar in the Property of whatever Particle you have inserted into the 3-Dimensional world, that bar will have a box right next to it to check and uncheck.
When that specific box is checked in that bar, and when the Particle is enabled, it will enable Particle Physics. Meaning, when you hover a Part over the Particle that is enabled, then that Particle will start to spread instead of passing through the Part that is hovered over it.
Though, if the size of the Particle is more than the Y-Axis of the Part's size, then the Particle will spread and so come back together. But if the size of the Part's Z-Axis is too big, then the Particle won't come back together. Meaning, it will stay divided and never come back together.
This feature would also support Solid Modeling Physics. So for example, if you have a hole in a Part that is hovered over the Particle that has Particle Physics enabled, some of the Particle could spread, or some could climb up through the hole you have cut out. It would be dependent on where you would put the Particle at.
However, when the bar in the Property was previously checked and is now unchecked, that will disable Particle Physics. Meaning, that Particle will go back to normal - which is rising through the Part that is hovered over it, and pretend nothing is in the way.
I think this would make a great implementation because:
- It will motivate developers (perhaps non-developers) to play around with Particles (including this implementation) more often. - It will raise the quality of gameplay. (Meaning, the Particles will be used more often with this great implementation.) - It will make games a lot more realistic although imaginative at the same time. (Sorta like bringing your dreams into reality.)
Since we're moving into the future of ROBLOX, I feel as this will be a great update to add to your engine you run ROBLOX on.
~ TL;DR ~
I propose that ROBLOX should add another feature to the Property of Particles called Particle Physics. When checked; if a Part is hovered over the Particle, then that Particle will divide instead of going through the Part.
If unchecked, it will go through the Part and won't divide; meaning, you have just disabled Particle Physics. This feature would also support Solid Modeling Physics.
If you want to know more, sit back, relax, and start reading from the top. |

| ...Except the particles we have already suffice. |

@Scarcadia yes, I'm aware of that. I'm just suggesting ROBLOX to perhaps add Physics to Particles since it would take an interesting turn in the developing industry.

@jac you think 5 sentences is considered a TL;DR? You're funny.
