that's why every country tries their best to model after the declaration of independence, because it is such a bad country.

Actually you uneducated fool, America took ideologies from different parts of the globe, for example, rome's republic, Greece's democracy. |

To quote.. "The New York Times noted in 1988:
In the mid-16th century, five northeastern Indian tribes – Mohawk, Seneca, Onondaga, Oneida and Cayugaa – formed the Iroquois Confederacy, joined later by the Tuscarora tribe. They adopted a constitution, reflecting concepts of checks and balances and separation of powers that impressed such later Americans as Washington, Franklin and other Founding Fathers. Indeed, historians maintain that many principles of the Iroquois constitution were woven into the United States Constitution.
That same year, Congress passed a resolution stating:
Whereas, the original framers of the constitution, including most notably, George Washington and Benjamin Franklin, are known to have greatly admired the concepts, principles and government practices of the Six Nations of the Iroquois Confederacy; and
Whereas, the Confederation of the original thirteen colonies into one Republic was explicitly modeled upon the Iroquois Confederacy as were many of the democratic principles which were incorporated into the Constitution itself …." |

Rome and Greece barely established a democracy, it's hard to even call it that.
They gave some of the citizens political power but government was still direct in elections.

Actually, they did, but were seperate by vast amounts which is why the areas never became connected, but Rome happened to advance across the world and even marking point in Jerusalem, but there are MANY things other than the republic and the democracy. Not to mention, the Republic and the Democracy surviving is not required for using these ideologies. By which our start presidents used these ideologies regardless of whether they were prosperous. |

| But what I do realize is the illogical nationalism that hides our flaws instead of facing them, much like a narcissistic person would. Time to man up and realize our faults and realize why countries are moving faster then we are, and our companies have exploded across our borders and have become what we call "globalization" in the political science realm. The idiotic ego, blindless following is irrational and not intelligent. Humility>pride. |

| First thing to realize is we are not a democracy. We are a republic with democratic qualities. The Republic by which it stands, one nation under god. |

| quote "We're not number one. In fact, when it comes to personal freedom, we're not even close — so says a new international ranking from the Legatum Institute in London. No less than 20 other nations ranked ahead of America in regards to personal freedom, which is calculated based on protections of civil rights and civil liberties. This ranking has dropped significantly in recent years; the U.S. was in ninth place just four years ago." |
